The Most Satiating Foods per Calorie

    Post yours up.

Must have a high satiety index to calorie content ratio.

    For me:

    Broccoli
    Celery
Dry Chicken Breast with no Seasoning (I seriously am full after 4 bites)
    Asparagus

Have you tried volumnous oats before? Cook em, leave them in the fridge over night, and the next morning they have tripled in size. Now that is pure satiation.

The above statement/post does not represent the opinions of anyone in real life. This is the internet. Not real life. Anyone who cannot grasp the difference between the two lacks the basic intelligence necessary for survival and should not be allowed to form opinions.

Greek yogurt for sure. And tuna. And most lunch meats. I eat absolutely copious amounts of all of the above.

Also, oddly enough...I always feel really full after drinking a bottle of Powerade Zero. I have no clue why.
    My guilty pleasure: excessive cardio.

Progress towards the 1000 lb club: 945/1000
Bulking until I hit 1000. I don't care if it takes a 40 pound weight gain. No more pussyfooting around.

I use microwave. Just use what you normally use, but add about 30-40% more milk/water.

Totally agree, thats why I discourage the use of protein shakes. Nowhere NEAR as satiating as a great big chicken breast.

Greek yogurt really fills you up? Thats the one thing that just wont do it for me. However, cottage cheese...different story. Add 1% friendship CC to my above list.

Tuna is pretty satiating too, I love me some tuna with 0 cal jalapeno mustard. Lunch meats, I could snack on all day.

You feel full after powerade zero because thats a ton of liquid lol.

So second question, what do you guys use to staive off hunger, that is relatively low calorie?

I.E. I use sugar free gum, green tea with no sweetener added (this KILLS hunger), diet soda, sobe life water and vitamin water zero, and just bottles upon bottles of straight water.

Romaine Lettuce, I feast upon it. But in all seriousness I don't really find anything other than fibrous vegetables greatly satiating. Chicken breast, oats, tuna, cottage cheese etc don't do a great job of filling me up (I'm a hungry beast).

There is one thing that's consistently defeated me, so much so I refuse to eat it: protein fluff http://www.leangains.com/2010/09/hig...3d-review.html it's got so much air in it when I make it, I feel like exploding.

Protein fluff beats veggies for satiety (and by leaps and bound for taste if you're not really into veggies). So check out that link right there if you haven't tried it yet.

Other than that, veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and white meat, i.e. chicken breast and turkey. White meat eaten on its own, i.e. "dry", without skin, ketchup or any other condiments/sauces to make it more palpable is extremely satiating.

If you're looking to go low calorie, very high protein and low everything else (i.e. PSMF or similar), 250-300 g of dry chicken breast is something you might wanna add to your menu. I've tried every protein source under the sun and haven't found anything that will satiate you more calorie for calorie.

Key point is to not add stuff to it. It should be dry and boring, and it will take you a long time to finish it because the meat is so damn solid. Jaw muscles get a solid workout. Ain't exactly a meal you'll be seeing on Top Chef any time soon but it gets the job done on PSMF type diets or similar very high protein setups designed to be short in duration and cause fast fat loss.

I gotta try me some of that magic multiplying oatmeal.

    Asparagus
Broccy (damn expensive though, haven't eaten for ages )
Actually pretty much any low-cal, high fibre vegies like mushrooms, celery, green beans, snow peas. Asparagus most delicious, though.
    No-fat yogurt
    Water/black coffee/tea/soft drink

Oats/Cereal my favourite but don't fill me up at all. Can smash 15 weetbix ez and still be ravenous
