    Stomach Vacuum for Smaller Waist?

Hey guys and girls, this question is for anyone who knows about stomach vacuums! I have a 32 inch waist, will preforming stomach vacuums help me get down to 30 inches? If so, how long would it take and is there a program I should follow for it? That's all for now, thanks!
    Start/current/goal

    Weight:
    191/161/180
    Bench:
    140/260/315
    Squat:
    150/315/405
    Deadlift:
    135/360/450

No it just develops a core muscle. Same as a plank. Losing fat will give you a smaller waist.
    26.5" waist of peace.

If you have wide hip bones there's not much you can do about that region they'll just be wide. However you can shrink stomach down through a clean diet and training or by reducing caloric intake and expending more calories to start burning off fat reserves (I have a higher metabolism so I find just eating cleanly, eliminating Wheat/gluten from the diet as they tend to make you bloated and training better than training and calorie depletion). Since you can't target fat from just one particular area and as the core tends to be the last place fat shrinks, proper dieting is a 100% must, the Vacuums and Planks etc. will be a way to keep the core strengthened and will assist in shaping you waist. As well further development of the deltoids and lats will create a much wider upper body which will add to the illusion of a much narrow waist giving you that V taper. >>Good Luck!<<
Bodybuilding requires strength of the mind just as much
as it requires strength of the body. When that heavy
weight is pushing down on you, your mind has to be strong
enough to tell your body to push back.

No, because at least on these boards.. people put in hard work in order to meet their goals.

We don't cheat, or take easy ways out.

That literally has nothing to do with what I asked, I read something about stomach vacuums and had a few questions about it....? I never once said I want an easy quick way to be skinny. I asked if stomach vacuums actually worked...

Then why would you even want to know? Especially when you could just do a quick google search instead of creating a pointless thread.

It's not pointless at all, I was asking for actual people's information. I'm looking at multiple sources; write-ups, tests, *peoples' personal experiences*. If it's pointless don't post, just hit the back button and don't be a douche

hey op. team wide waist checking in. I know what you were asking and I personally have had success with stomach vacuums. If you didn't know to eat right I doubt you would be posting to a bodybuilding website so I wont "waist" your time with that stupidity (see what i did there). week 1 do 3 sets of 20 seconds. week 2, 3 sets of 30 seconds. and week 3-whenever you quit, 3 sets 45 seconds. i do these mon, wed, fri, and pair them with serratus work to facilitate the "V taper." there is no scientific evidence that wearing a squatting belt for heavy work will help maintain a tiny waist but I do anyway just in case lol. best of luck and fight the urge to hit obliques. it will make you look like a milk jug.

The muscle that you work when you do stomach vacuums help "holding your gut". So yes, it takes inches off your waist.

It'll make your TVA better at sucking your gut in, and it can be trained pretty much ad infinitum (google stomach vacuum pose) and it'll also be tighter when you're not focusing on it.

Which is the case if you don't do stomach vacuums. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't get trained unless you do vacuums.
