I have a standard piece of crap bar (35 lbs) which I cannot stand so I am investing in an olympic bar and this one caught my eye. It is $175 shipped and does not have bolts at the end to adjust. Just curious if anyone else has this bar and what is your feedback on how it feels? Also is the weight on the bar more or less accurate?

I own both the Texas Power Bar and Jesups Olympic bar. Both are really good bars. The 3 major differences:
1. Knurling
Jesups has a deeper curling which I actually prefer especially with deadlifts. However, the diameter is slightly larger with the Jesups.
2. Oxidized
The difference it TPB is a black oxidezed bar and Jesups is zinc oxidized.
3. Price
I you are using it training then I would stick with Jesups for the price.Last edited by DrInhale101; 06-27-2011 at 08:54 AM.

the quest bar is a great bar. Its IPF powerlifting approved and its definatly worth the extra money. Don't skimp on a bar and get a cheap one. This is the most important part of your training

For that price I will take the bar that is only $132. I don't care if it is a professional bar, I just want one that is accurate in weight (44-45 lbs bar) and does not have nuts at the end to adjust the bar. I have been leaning towards the jesup bar but the other one for $132 intrigues me as it carries 1500 lbs which I will never get even 1/3 that weight on the bar. Does anyone have experience with the bar.

This is the reply I got from them:
"Thanks for the interest; The Texas Power Bar is made by Champion
Barbell. *The bar itself is 86 1/8 "long and will weight 45 lbs. *The
grip is going to be about 1" in diameter. *I hope this information helps
you out. *If you have any other questions just let me know."
I replied asking for a more exact bar measurement.

so, you ordered it and won't just say where you got it from? cool, thanks for the info!
i was at rogue yesterday to grab a stone mold, ended up leaving with a rogue bar too. the knurling isn't as sharp as i was looking for, but i played with the one in their gym and liked it enough to buy it. the lifetime warranty sold me. if it doesn't work out well enough for deadlifts, i'll still never have to worry about this bar.

LoL.....no doubt. Dtown, you seriously say you got the bar for $225 shipped, but the response to "where?" is..... go search for it? I'm not positive, but that price seems really good for a Capp TPB......I'm sure A LOT of people would like to know too.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪
