- if your simply chatty to the person next to you, and like to give advise on taking ROIDS while you are in the gym - you're a gym idiot.
- if you carry your Gym bag around with you in the weight room, and use it solely as a "place holder" to deter other people from using certain weights/machines while your away from them - you're a gym idiot
- if you sit on at your station/machine while TEXTING ON YOUR PHONE and know other are waiting to use it - you're a gym idiot
- if you ask someone you dont know for "a spot", and you dont say THANK YOU afterwards - you're a gym idiot.
- If you wear black socks with sandals to the gym - you're a gym IDIOT!
- if you're a girl who wears a short skirt and no panties and you are doing leg lifts/extensions - you're a gym idiot (or possibly a genius, not sure yet)

At my GYM......I kid you not.
Ive been going to the same gym for 3 years, so i knwo EVERYONE who comes in and out of that place. Except this one time......this girl ive never seen before was working out there.....and she aint had no panties on! and doing Leg lifts for all to see!
Never seen her again after that

Don't really know if this has been mentioned before, but there's always a pair of guys who do exercises one after the other, but do most of their exercises wrong. It's funny because they don't do ANY leg work and apparently skip many compound exercises. They sit around on "arm day" and proceed to do hammer curls with 35 and 40 lb dumbbells (both are skinny) and bend their arms almost as if they were doing lateral shoulder raises with their arms bent... WHILE swinging their back. They also give each other "advice" and use 4-6 dumbbells for 10 mins. at a time because they alternate in the same exercises.
Also, the skinny-fat girls who come into the gym once or twice a week, do 20 sets of 50 dumbbell curls/raises/presses and leave. They come for a month then never show up again.

If you hide gym equipment so that other members can't use it, you're a gym idiot. A guy was hogging the dip belt today and would hide it when he was busy do three other movements....wasn't really sure why he was hogging it anyway. He was doing weight pull-ups cheat style. sigh

why do people think if they do a certain exercise with a lot of weight, but their form is terrible think they're the man? there is this father and son duel that comes to the gym every so often. every exercises i see them on, they never have proper form and have way too much weight. thing is, the father is there with his gym clothing, but he never works out, just his son. his son is a young guy, maybe 17 and even slimmer than me. he's maybe 125 lbs? anyway, today(not first time)the son was doing hack squats. he had 4 45s on each side with an additional one 25s on each side. obviously that's too much weight for him. his squatting was like this: standing straight until the hack squat machine, started to go down, his knees went from a stiff legged to slightly bent, and then he came back up! that was it. i don't think that even qualify as a half rep. his benching was just as bad. just like his hack squats, he would lower the bar until his elbows were slightly bent, then he went back up! i don't think it even went down an inch. worst part his dad was spotting him without correcting him. i mean, i'm sure they can see others doing it. they don't think why do everyone else does it differently than them? also, i'm sure the dad also pays for both of their membership. since he's there, he might as work out. he never does even though he wears a cut off t-shirt every time he comes in. should i say something or should i just mind my own business? i'm scare sooner or later, he's going to hurt himself.
