Im a naturally round guy with bad genetics and my metabolism is slow like a snail. You could compare me to have a Brian Mcann bodytype of the Atlanta braves. I needed to lose weight my freshman year of high-school. I did but i used fat burners. Cycled dem on and off. Now Im hearing they are banned in college and pro. can you tell me which ones are and aren't????? I used oxy elite pro, used clen and t3 ,and using Super HD now. IF ALL OF THESE ARE BANNED IM SCREWED.

Hey John,
Not really an easy way to say this so I'm going to come out and say it.
You are not naturally round. You do not have a slow metabolism. I used to believe I was the same way, but after realizing I was just eating too much I changed my body. All of the "fat burners" are a scam bud. They just raise internal body temperature and they don't really do much besides decrease your appetite.
What you need to do is visit the nutrition forums in these BodyBuilding forums. There is a ton of great information that talks about caloric and macronutrient needs. All you really need to do is get your diet in check and you will be able to lose weight.
Quit wasting your money on burners, read up on nutrition on these forums, change your eating and exercise habits, and make the changes naturally.

I'm looking to do some bulking up over the break and pre season. Not really sure where to start. Do you have a routine that you use in college to bulk up that you can send me?and some foods that help you pack on the muscle? I'm a junior in high school center fielder that hits in the 2 or 5 hole. I'm 5' 11" 140 that's looking to get to 180 by february. With some power and a stronger arm.

1. Research schools you are interested in for academics.
2. Visit these schools for tours of the campus.
3. While on campus, go to the athletic offices and find the coach and request a sit down talk to express interest in playing there.
4. Email the coach of schools you are interested in and express interest.

This. Feel free to cast a wide net, but it is immensely important that you find the right school for you before the right baseball program. You are one injury, superstar freshman, flunked test, etc away from not being a baseball player anymore. Make sure you'd still want to be at that school and have that degree if that happens. Transferring isn't fun -- you have to make new friends, lose all your financial aid, deal with non-transferable classes, you get my drift.

I agree with the posts by Ven and D3. Also try to go to showcases. Alot of times juco's will hold showcases for jr's and sr's as a way to help their recruiting with minimum budgets. Check the ones in your areas. Summer camps that teams have are often a place they find players as well.

If you are a senior you need to go to the schools. Period. Emailing would have been great back in sophomore/junior year, but you are late in the game.
Do some research. Determine what you want to major in, find the best schools for such a major, then go to those schools. Go on a campus visit, then find the coach on campus. At this point in time this is your best bet.

Yeah, how are you with academics? What are your goals academically, etc? Do you know what you want to be when you "grow up"? It's okay if you don't.
Do you have plans to pay for college? You don't need to tell me but make sure you and your parents know what you can afford and whether schools (especially private ones) can give you financial aid. However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results - Dr. John Berardi

some background on me
i played football freshman and sophomore year.
got 4 concussions, and thats over the limit (set by the high school reg. people)
i never made the HS baseball team my 9th-10th grade year.
Was homeschooled 11th grade year becasue of grades. they didnt come up.
ive played rec ball but no high school ball. I played rec ball last fall.
Went to malibu to hit in the very fast cage. trying to hit the balls and i wasnt to bad.
i went to the field to throw yesterday. i had one of those pitcher's K-zone nets.
halfway from mound to plate i could barley throw ball.
i practice mostly by myself because i cant even find someone to play catch with- any tips?????????

What exactly do you mean by no interest? I understand that I should Deff be looking at D2 and D3 schools, but what if I have been in pretty good contact with two D1 schools? Even one of them came out to 2 of my travel games so far.
As for grades, I have a 3.9 overall GPA, and got a 25 on my ACT. So basically D1 is outta the question? And as of right now I plan on majoring in either Architecture or taking courses to be an orthopedic surgeon. (ACL inspired me to do that lol)

lol i would but have been playing since 5 and love the game too much
i had arm problems but when i threw today i felt better. throwing from 3rd to 1st was pretty smooth. i hadnt played since fall 2011. i played really good ,and hit balls into the gap. i led team in doubles and RBIs. again that was rec, and was wondering how it would translate to high school. i found a baseball instructor w/ a nice cage near my house. i still need help w/ fielding work??????
i played catcher ,3rd,2nd, LF and RF.

I don't know, have you been in contact with D1 schools? Are those coaches interested in you?
Your grades are good enough to get into a good deal of schools.
There isn't a whole lot of correlation between division and academics, but I will say that there aren't very many selective schools in division 2.
You should really talk to a college counselor at your high school to get an idea of what you're looking for. There are thousands of schools out there, it is hard for me to make a recommendation for you but your counselor will know more about you from your discussion and her experience. However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results - Dr. John Berardi
