Newman's Olive Oil & Vinegar is awesome.

I'm a life-long salad lover. When I was a young lad and other kids were dreaming of cakes and ice creams for their birthdays or treats, I was hoping for a trip to town for the salad bar (or tacos...). From there my affair with the salad has only blossomed and matured.
Thusly, to your question "what other things can I add to my spinach/steak salad to make it taste awesomer", I answer, "Anything". There are no limitations to salad components, which is what makes it so great.
One of my favorite flavor combinations, especially on a salad, is fresh blue cheese and fresh crumbled bacon. Another is fresh blue cheese with walnuts (English, preferrably). However, the 3 of them together does not exponentially increase their profile and can even, at times, start to work against each other (a lot of bacons and walnuts don't go well together, or at least don't mesh well).
- Nuts/seeds (crushed walnuts and sunflower work best for me, but almonds can be ok depending on what else they're going with)
- Meats (bacon, steak, ground beef, pepperoni, chicken, shrimp, crab, etc)
- Beans (probably not ideal for Keto, but I like kidneys & garbonzos on salads)
- Veggies (artichoke hearts, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, onions, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts, etc)
- Eggs (hard boiled & sliced/diced/quartered)
- Cheese (cheddar, blue, gouda, mozzarella, feta, colby, jack, etc)
The possibilities are endless and certainly don't end there!
One of my current faves is a 'taco' salad. Big ol' bed of lettuce (300-400g), 8-16oz browned & seasoned ground beef, shredded cheddar, sour cream & taco sauce. Since I'm considering going back on keto I'll have to re-evaluate that sour cream and its carb count.Sgt, USMC
