Question My first IIFYM meal plan am I doing right?

I’ve included foods that I like and this meal plan is for weights days only will make another for rest and cardio days. I haven’t included fibre so with lunch and dinner will be having usual, lettuce, tomato’s, onions etc etc minus starchy veggies. Not sure if I should add fish oil tablets.

    Macros are

    2750 cals
    190p

all good bro thanks for reply.

Reason im asking is im concerned about the fat choices (saturated,mono,omega3,etc,etc) I should have put that in the first post.

Shoot for an equal split saturated/mono/poly. From what I see, you have quite a bit of saturated. Almost your entire intake is from milk, meat, eggs, and cheese. Personally, I would get some olive oil or nuts/nut butters in order to get more monounsaturated fats, and either consume some fatty fish or supplement with a fish oil to get omega-3.

i saw the title and was thinking "IIFYM Meal Plan"....oh lawdy /sigh

If u eat to get dem macros and it's foods you like to eat as apposed to foods you feel you've got some obligation to be eating due to what the gospel according to bro-science says. then your "doing it right" haha

Hell, that doesn't mean if it happens to be your preference you can't eat a diet entirely of almonds, brown rice, lean chicken breast, and broccoli...etc.

IIFYM is a mentality which more or less counter's the idea of having a set meal plan, its just guidelines by which you'd eat whatever you like as long as you're getting the recommended macro minimums.

You guys really think following IIFYM means you can't make a meal plan? It seems this very simple concept of flexibility and moderation is being turned into quite the monster by people who just don't get it.

kinda defeats the purpose of "flexibility and moderation" when you are having a set meal plan everyday, does it not?

all you are doing is replacing a bunch of foods with another type of food and calling it "IIFYM".

Certainly not. IIFYM doesn't mean ignore all structure and just eat willy nilly as long as it fits your macros, though that's not prohibited. It means you don't have to restrict yourself to a certain arbitrary set of "clean" foods.

a meal plan helps me stay on course i like structure in my life it makes it easier for me especially when doing the grocery shopping.
I simply like to know what im going to eat for the week, weekends and social events are different i just take out carbs during the day to make up for it. Not sure what the problem is here if IIFYMing is not about structure then obviously i'm doing it wrong.

How much calcium are you getting? Seems like a lot of dairy. Might worry about kidney stones and constipation.

    Shouldn't be a problem.

I usually have >100g fat mostly from saturated sources and still have low cholesterol and triglycerides.

I think like others have said, if you're doing a complex meal plan for IIFYM, you're doing it wrong (not trying to sound like a douche, but srs).

No worries honestly it’s not complex for me, a meal plan actually makes it easier with my life style.

Never really looked into the source of the protein, does it make much difference?

I give Matrix a 9 out 10 for taste, saying that i use to give ON around the same rating but now i cant stand it after having matrix.

Ill give that brand a try when i run out.

    thanks
