How much protein do you want to take in? It will mix right in depending on how much liquid is in the batter.

I agree that the protein pancake mixes are way overpriced. I just make my own with a cup of eggwhites so I don't even need to use protein powder most of the time.

Ok, so just add one scoop to however you would normally make your pancake batter.

Throw a cup of oats in the blender, add a tsp of baking powder and a tsp of baking soda. PayPal me half the money you saved.

If they fit your daily caloric intake/macros then they are fine for a cut. I guess it depends what you are limiting your intake to. Protein pancakes are easy as hell to make from scratch. I usually change the recipe around to fit my macros/cals for the day, but all you need to do is grind up a cup of oats in the blender until it is a flour (you can use wheat flour instead if you like the taste), then add a cup of egg whites to that (you can use whole eggs instead if you like), add a tsp of baking soda and a tsp of baking powder, add some cinnamon/pumpkin spice, and you can also add an optional 1/2 cup of cottage cheese if you want (sounds nasty, but you don't taste it). Blend it all up and then pour them into a pan with some pam in it. Really simple.

They don't taste as good as white flour bisquick, but they are pretty good IMO. They were a staple of mine when I was bulking. I would usually have them as a prebed meal with cottage cheese mixed in. It sounds weird, but they taste good. You can also use plain wheat flour instead if you prefer the taste over oats, but I like oats better.

You NEED baking powder... its the secret ingredient, lol. Without it your pancakes will be more like crepes (sp?) because they won't rise with the oat flour. I usually use a cup of egg whites, or 2 or 3 whole eggs and then some milk (use enough to make the consistency of the batter how you like it).

Uhhh... off the top of my head I can estimate the cals, but you can look up the macros of every ingredient if you want...

    1 cup oats... 300 cals
1 cup egg whites... 100 cals
1/2 cup cottage cheese (FF)... 100 cals

I eat mine with peanut butter on top so you can add another 100 or 200 cals for a tablespoon or two of PB. You can use SF syrup instead, which would be like 50 cals.
