I love using my parachute. It took .2 off my 40 which was pretty good. I ran 5 flat this year. Im hoping to run a 4.8/4.9 this year coming up.... I live pretty close to the beach so I like to get an old backpack and fill it up with sand and run with it ( its some old military thing. My next door neighbor told me to do it and its been working). I also like to do my own sprints like ill jog for 20 secs and then all out sprint for 10 and alternate liek that. Squats will def help out your 40 also.

I can explain it but I believe I'm limited to the amount of words I can type in this thread.

To the original poster, you aren't going to see much results without lifting. You're 167 pounds so I'm guessing your leg strength isn't real good. I weigh 215 and my last timed 40 was a 5.0 with a laser timing device. Why do I have decent speed? I can squat twice my body weight. I need to get faster if I want to play big time college football so my next step in training is gonna be focusing on plyos and more explosive movements. I also need some work on my glutes/hamstrings.
You need to ditch the idea that your growth is going to be stunted. You're 16 years old! I was 5'11'' in 8th grade. I'm 6'0'' three years later. Most people don't grow much more once they reach high school. If you're stuck at your height the only thing u can do is be bigger and faster than everyone else. Squat, deadlift, powerclean etc etc. No other choice.

I think it is misguided to think weightlifting will stunt your growth. The impact force each time your foot hits the ground during a sprint is actually several times body weight (3-5X BW). If you are concerned about damaging growth plates in your bones, your are more likely to produce those forces during a sprint than during a squat exercise with an external load. Increasing your absolute leg strength can only help your speed, as long as you also perform some sprint training and plyometrics for neuromotor development.

It's only crap to you because I'm not giving away free information on the website. You can bad mouth all you want but until you see the incredible workout I've created in the ebook with the help of a State Championship coach here in Charlotte, NC (Coach Knoxx- West Charlotte High School) who lead his track to team to two back to back championships keep quite.
And as far as the JHawk dude his 40 time is slower than turtles. How can he help someone when people are trying to run faster than him. I got him beat by .35 seconds! I believe my information is just as great as his. No disrespect Jhawk but when people want to judge a book by its cover I have no tolerance for that. And then when you got cheerleaders backing you up like HenryHill I got to defend myself. So bring it on!

So post up a sample and lets see this "incredible workout" that you created. You can't bag on people who "judge a book by it's cover" when the cover is all there is (not counting the free stopwatch...yippee!!!). Which brings me to my point. You can't develop a product and claim it will lead to "perfect form" when the main image advertising your product is less than perfect. Breaking down that picture alone I can spot 7 things you are doing wrong right off the bat. These add up to equal you not being in a position to produce ideal power "out of the blocks" and that your first movement will bring you up instead of out. 2 things you definately want to avoid when trying to put down your best 40 time.
By the way, please post video of this 4.36 40 yard dash you claim. What combine was it timed at? Which laser-timing system were they using? I think everyone here, myself included, would love to see that kind of speed on tape. Afterall it would make you one of the 20 fastest men in the NFL.Last edited by Jhawk Fitness; 12-02-2006 at 09:48 AM.

I prefer sled running, running with ancle weights, and regular sprinting. I don't like getting hit in the back with a backpack all the way through my sprints

I'm not gonna beat around the bush here. You're a dumbass. A 4.71 for a 240+ pound guy is just sick. Not world class or NFL caliber, but very, very good. I'm sure it was laser timed as well, which means it isn't BS like 95% of the claimed 40 times. Quit trying to sell your crappy product on here. Why would anyone want to spend money on your book when people have all the information they need on the internet. I'm sure it's nothing special anyway judging from your posts on here.
Also, since when is it a prerequisite to be better than the athletes you teach? Do you think Bob Knight can take his players in a game of full court one on one? Do you think Tony Dungy can still strap it up and hit like Ed Reed? I know for a fact that neither one of them can. Yet, they are still considered top professionals in coaching. It's about knowledge my friend. Some people have amazing genetics and can lift more than I can, but I know far more about lifting than they do. Who would be the better teacher, me or the guy who doesn't know jack **** and is just naturally strong? If you want to promote your site do everyone a favor and buy a real advertisement on the site.

Look man I've made nearly $600.00 off my 40 yard dash ebook at $9.99 a pop back in the day and have given it away to more than 50 people and I haven't till this day gotten any kind of negative feedback about my 40 yard dash workout so what you and your girlfriend (Henry Hill) is saying is garbage. I have no beef with you but before you hate what you don't understand try understanding. There are more than one ways to skin a cat and I just so happened to figured it out whether you approve of it or not. So don't waste all of your energy trying to rain on my parade ,when you need to use that same energy to get your 40 yard dash up to par. Hugs and Kisses!

three things that will lower your time is
1. Working on your take offs ( in the blocks, how long to run with your head/ upper body down ect.)/ working on your form.
2. Doing squats/ calf raises ( Obviously )
3. Doing arm/shoulder workouts ( your arms can only move as fast as your legs, and vice versa... if your arms slow down, so do your legs).
i ran a 4.43 my senior year in high school, and ran a 10.8 100 meter.

Why don't you actually answer some of his questions? I'm sure all your potential buyers would like to hear from you lol. My guess is you sell this thing to lazy kids who have never trained in their life and all of a sudden when they do their speed goes up. Amazing! Anyone can train noobs to run faster. Don't worry, I'll neg you when it lets me again.
