Since I posted my last pic, people said I had a very good "aesthetic" look (154lbs @ 6-8% BF) but needed to add some mass.
Taking on board the criticism I increased my carb intake 20% and have been increasing my training and intensity over the past 6 weeks. I have put on 10lbs and stayed around 8% Bodyfat

lol 10 pounds of lean in 6 weeks huh... meeh people at this site cried and made a lot of noise at me and called me a troll when I said that I had probably gained 2lbs of lean in one week after a couple of really good crippling work outs and a good diet. This isnt that much different. Are you sure you gained 10 pounds of lean? Thats like 6 months work isnt it? I read an article that said you can only gain a MAXIMUM of about 24lbs of LEAN muscle mass a year. If you are gettin any more then its not actually lean muscle.

Well if you are not a troll then allow me to elaborate.
This is Chris Hemsworth, and he had to put on 35lbs of Muscle in 3 MONTHS! for his role in Thor. The three things he mentions that are key to getting results like this are:-
> Training
> Diet
> Sleep
Feel free to look back through my picture's on my bodyspace , I have nothing to hide and have been honest with my timeline. As lean as it is I have gained about 2% bodyfat as I have said I was 6-8 and now am 8%. With any mass building no matter how lean you make it you have to put on some fat to gain mass. Best of luck in all your training and reaching your goals.
And no it was 6 weeks not 6 months, Please see my 6 MONTHS picture below. (well 4 and a bit months and then I started bulking for 6 weeks as per this thread)

yeah that guy definitely bulked up. But you gotta remember a lot of these hollywood celebs use special supplements etc to get much quicker results for their movies. But this dude in Thor isnt cut its all bulk. He made a lot of gains but I am pretty sure about half of his weight was not lean.
I've been working out for a while and always seeming to get modest slow results no matter how hard I train. The advice you gave me is useful but I think by far the most important thing to remember is to always challenge yourself. Lift waits that are heavier and close to what you think you cant do. Doing the same routine and liftin weights with over 10 reps wont help you much if you want to increase mass. From my experience its almost a complete waste of time.
Anyway if you really did gain 10lbs of lean in 6 weeks then thats great. Its glad to know that it is possible.

Thankyou, Obviously all Chris Hemsworth did for 3 months is LIFT, EAT and SLEEP. Has world class nutritionists and world class fitness instructors, But the point is it IS achievable if you try hard enough. I get alot of fitness advice from my older brother who is a natural bodybuilder and sponcered athlete. Diet is 80% of weight training, Its amazing the effects on the human body a proper diet has and when you introduce that with decent training and rest the results are amazing.

10lbs of lean mass in 6 weeks....on celltech yes...naturally...not even with the force of 9000 noobgains.
If you're natural...the body can only produce 1-2lbs (2 if you're like brand new) of lean muscle a month. So what takes someone 8 months+ you achieved in a little over a month naturally? No.
I assume you're natural so the fact is: there was some fat+water/glycogen that is making up most of that weight.Last edited by JRemix; 06-23-2011 at 11:50 AM.

Well I am 100% natural, There was a time where I looked into doing PH's but I bottled it and decided against it which I am very glad. I never claimed I put on 10lbs of LEAN MUSCLE I just said LEAN GAIN...
I also disagree with what you've said. From reading articles on http://www.simplyshredded.com/
Would contradict what you've said, and to be fair they are world class athletes, you are just some 22 year old bloke on a forum who goes to the gym.....

Most people I've spoken to who 'thought about trying PH's' actually did try one (which they later admitted). And no it was not a completely lean gain, it just appears that way. 10lbs doesn't just come out of no where. 2lbs of muscle, some water/glycogen and some fat that is not visible yet because you already started off decently lean that the amount in lbs wasn't enough to make a huge visual difference yet (yet because you were very lean to begin with - add fat on top of that and it makes you look bigger/take up more space - while still being lean).
It's either you used a PH and gained more lean mass than naturally possible (which you said you didn't), gained 2-3lbs max of muscle + water/glycogen + more fat than muscle, or the scale difference really was not 10lbs and you were just carrying tons of water after a big meal. Those are the only possibilities.
Btw with your logic: BRB you can gain 4-6lbs of lean muscle a month naturally.

Possible about carry extra weight when I weighed myself, I did weight myself after my workout and the first weight I was going on was first thing in the morning after waking if I remember correctly. And no I have never tried PH's or anything on any banned list as I would like to compete in natural competition's one day like my brother and you get lie detector tested ect. As said I looked into it then I read you balls can shrink and you can get hair loss and was like **** that lol

Hey, I just did a rough calculation of how many grams of protein you're getting and it comes out a bit over 400. Most of the calculators/guide threads on the website to figure out how many grams of protein you need don't come anywhere near this for your weight?! Is this more of the figure one around your weight should be aiming for?

I do not care about time nor how much lbs. The transformation looks good. We are close in height and your about 20lbs heavier..

People's eyes have turned yellow from H-DROL back when it was legally sold in supplement stores in the states. People have had liver damage and gotten serious medical conditions/operations due to it. Heart failure, etc. Look on youtube, lots of live news reports.
Yeah like I said you did gain some muscle but IMO a lot of that 10lbs is just water/fat. And a lot of it for just 6 weeks. I am not hating I am just saying watch how fast the scale goes up cause too many 6 weeks cycles like this (assuming at least 3lb out of 10lbs was fat gain) and you'll be past your 'lean threshold' and wonder why you suddenly don't look lean.
