Sly stallones diet/routine during rocky 3: real or improbable?

    I am a stallone fan.
I admire a guy offered 10x his yearly wage to sell rocky 1s screenplay and refusing based on principle that it was made for him to play, written by him.

However, ive read in several places about his diet and conditioning for rocky III and smell a bit of Hollywood marketing

    Diet:

    10 eggwhites a day
    a piece of toast
    an occasional piece of fruit.

The training they match to that diet sounds about dangerous as can be.

    2mile running
    18rounds sparribg
    2 hours weights
Jumping more running in the evening.

Apparently 4.5% bodyfat and 6% non filming?

I wonder how much of that is realistic. And if real, sly is a goddamned machine from another planet.

Manny...... ok, lets think about this. Stallone didnt do this on ONE day, he did it for several months for a movie. this is less than 500cals a day with EXTREME amounts of training (18 rounds of sparing a day??)

I dont know much about the juice, but i wouldnt think even the juice cant save a starving man from losing some muscle with that one.

The diet seems a little extreme. I see no reason to believe anything other than Sly's lifetime natty status though. Accusations over the years of him being otherwise have basically been by lazy jelous people who simply wish to justified their own piss poor results.

Like I said I can do that much on that little food. I have done 600ish for 2 weeks while weight lifting 3 days a week, doing daily cardio and still had energy. If I remember correctly he only did this for a few weeks either way because on that little food and that much expidenture he cut down fast. I never mentioned anything about preserving muscle. And I read something where he talked about this. He mentioned getting down to about 150ish just to rebuild and get back up to 170-180.

He was busted trying to bring vials of an illegal substance (I no want ban) into Australia prior to shooting Rambo. It was big news down here.

Clearly that was someone else's or he was setup. There is zero evidence that those were his personal things.

Diet reminds me of my wrestling diet in high school. Although I was also 100 pounds.

I could see him cutting on it as his work ethic is insane according to many old school sources. Pretty sure the gear helped.

dude, i never wanna piss someone off with like a billion rep power, but he actually wrote an apology to the authorities in Oz and said that he was ignorant of the local laws. (EDIT: he also paid like, $9000 in AUD of a fine)

It was just HGH, and he was importing it because he was going to Burma to film Rambo, and as he said himself several times you cant exactly find a doctor there to get that sort of stuff.

So he did not "import it" and just brought it because he was using it on his own. He obtained it legally, but in Australia it is not considered legal for muscle building, which is why he brought it in.

I read on this just a few days ago, the only reason I am pointing it out is because if I was offered millions to film three movies in a row that required the test levels of when I was 30 I may do this too (he did Rambo, Rocky 6 and then Expendibles)

I recall reading he said that it should be legal, and that in years time it probably would be widely accepted.

Dude made a choice. Just because he chose something you didn't doesn't make him less of a person. I have many buddies who drink that koolaid. It's their choice to do so, just like it's your choice not to.

I don't understand how anyone can think less of someone because of a decision like that.

For me it's not the OJ that puts me off, that's everyone's own decision. It's only when they claim "natural", get hopes of lesser informed people up, and which then might end up spinning their wheels with retarded routines and overly aggressive diets. Like the one posted in here.

Ya that's an issue. I understand why they can't come out and say OMG im drinking koolaid, but they should refrain from providing advice that is applicable to koolaid fans.

No not at all, but 10 points for twisting my words.
No, because it makes the story more interesting.

Nah. I'd GLADLY train with anyone who's drinking OJ. i want to get big, and while I don't think I'd partake I would take the advice of an elite athlete any day, regardless of what they were doing as a supplement.

Guess I should cleared that up.

You and others will note, I hope, that in my lifting thread my training advices are geared almost entirely towards legit natty lifters. If something will only work well for someone else I mention that.
