I use the 93/7 turkey, no sausage. Is this good or bad for cutting fat. My bf % is probably 14 or 15, so im not extremely out of shape.....I just want to get it down to around 10 to make my muscles more visible.
I also eat a lot of boxed jumbalaya and I use the 93/7 ground turkey instead of sausage....is this good or bad?

Wheat pasta spaghetti isnt bad if you use lean ground beef for meatballs, cut up some tomatos for the sauce and you honestly stick with correct portion size.
Being Italian myself it's hard to stick with portions, but if you want to indulge in those things while dieting, do it moderately."Always act as though it were impossible to fail." -Anonymous

A Trigger Food
I have to stay away from the stuff, and many Italian dishes. It is a trigger food for me and I start to binge.
Want to lose Weight?
1. Eat every 3 hours
2. Each time you eat 4-8oz protein 1-5 servings green veggies
3. Carbs other than vegetables only after 1 hour workout and only if you must have them.
4. Skip drinks that contain calories

It's only bad if you eat half the box of pasta in one sitting.
Of course, sticking with just one serving of pasta makes for a pretty small amount.
I don't mind whole wheat pasta but if you like regular pasta better, as long as you're eating it with good protein like that turkey (have you tried turkey italian sausage? good stuff!!) it doesn't matter whether you're eating whole wheat or regular. The protein, and maybe even some olive oil added to the sauce for a little fat, will slow down the digestion of the pasta so you don't get the insulin spike.

I hate oatmeal after my workout, so I eat multi-grain pasta (has flaxseed in it too) with tomatoes and basil and oregano and garlic instead....very tastey and filling. One ounce of noodles and added tomatoes gives me 7 grams of protein, 26g carbs, 1g fat and 149 calories (with the tomatoes added).
