Is Spaghetti bad if you're trying to lose body fat?

I use the 93/7 turkey, no sausage. Is this good or bad for cutting fat. My bf % is probably 14 or 15, so im not extremely out of shape.....I just want to get it down to around 10 to make my muscles more visible.

I also eat a lot of boxed jumbalaya and I use the 93/7 ground turkey instead of sausage....is this good or bad?

There are better options out there such a using wheat pasta instead... and finding ways to make it a better overall meal.

Wheat pasta spaghetti isnt bad if you use lean ground beef for meatballs, cut up some tomatos for the sauce and you honestly stick with correct portion size.

Being Italian myself it's hard to stick with portions, but if you want to indulge in those things while dieting, do it moderately.

    A Trigger Food

I have to stay away from the stuff, and many Italian dishes. It is a trigger food for me and I start to binge.
    Want to lose Weight?
    1. Eat every 3 hours
    2. Each time you eat 4-8oz protein 1-5 servings green veggies
    3. Carbs other than vegetables only after 1 hour workout and only if you must have them.
    4. Skip drinks that contain calories

    Wonderful dish.

    100% whole wheat pasta

1.5 to 2lbs of 96/4 hamburger or deer hamburger which I estimate to be 98-99 % fat free

1 can of spagetti sauce that is designed for 1 lb of meet and only have 1-3 grams of surgar per surving.

You can also add mushroom, onions and any other veggies.

Just be sure this meal fits ur calories and macros, and reasonable spread of calories throughout the day.

I also recommend this meal either in breakfast or Post-Post workout meal.

It's only bad if you eat half the box of pasta in one sitting.

Of course, sticking with just one serving of pasta makes for a pretty small amount.

I don't mind whole wheat pasta but if you like regular pasta better, as long as you're eating it with good protein like that turkey (have you tried turkey italian sausage? good stuff!!) it doesn't matter whether you're eating whole wheat or regular. The protein, and maybe even some olive oil added to the sauce for a little fat, will slow down the digestion of the pasta so you don't get the insulin spike.

pasta is on my 'no go' list so I have learned to just
substitute 'rice' for any past dish ... if you really
'need' the pasta, then add a 1/4 cup of orzo to the
rice (cook the rice and cook the orzo and mix) ...

I hate oatmeal after my workout, so I eat multi-grain pasta (has flaxseed in it too) with tomatoes and basil and oregano and garlic instead....very tastey and filling. One ounce of noodles and added tomatoes gives me 7 grams of protein, 26g carbs, 1g fat and 149 calories (with the tomatoes added).

i eat spaghetti(whole grain) everyday, along with buckwheat and oatmeal, for the sake of variety. it's worse than latter choices, but not a bad food by any means, so why not if you like the taste?

I used barilla plus pasta during my cut and it was fine. I also used 99% lean ground turkey.

The main thing you have to watch is portion size... a portion of pasta really isn't that much so you can easily go over you calorie allowance for the day.

    Hope this helps a bit.

There is one brand of spagetti at Whole Foods and the like that has flax seed ground in with the wheat... seems to be ok for me! Just make sure you include some veggies in those meals to now! Veggies = WAY more important than the grains!
