And Stan is right... A refeed is not a cheat day. It's a day to get those extra, much needed carbs, and to keep that metabolism from getting too used to your macros. My refeeds constitute of an extra banana, 1/2cup oats, and bowl of Special K w/berries in skim milk. Not exciting, but it does exactly what I need it to. Keep on the grind and focused on the goal. Momentary pleasures are not worth the sacrifice.
Not looking for a cheat day, I just thought it was funny that Stan said no pop tarts. I'll have as close of a cheat as ill get for a long time tomorrow, it's me and my wife's 11th anniversary and I'm taking her(and the four kids) to ihop for breakfast and I'm gonna get a chicken fajita egg white omelet with salsa and tobasco! Maybe some plain oatmeal to if they have it. No pancakes or hashbrowns or anything like that. I'm looking forward to it though. I have no problem eating the same thing every day but its going to be nice to have something different.

Don't really know what to think of the weigh in, maybe the creatine had something to do with it, maybe since it was my first refeed week, I don't know. I know it doesn't have anything to do with my effort because I did everything I was supposed to this week diet and exercise were perfect. Every time I get close to 24x it gets ripped away from me.

Went out to breakfast today with the family for our 11th anniversary. I had a chicken fajita egg white omelet with salsa and almost a whole bottle of tobasco lol, and some oatmeal. Now just waiting around to eat my pre wo meal and go hit my back hard. Yesterday's workout went good and here it is.

Thanks Dean. Plans changed for the day, I had a friend unexpectedly drop by right as I was going to leave for the gym so I'm pushing off my back workout until tomorrow morning. I'm also picking up an inversion table tomorrow and I really hope it's going to help my back.

My plan today was to hit the gym, then drive an hour and a half and pick up an inversion table I found off of Craigslist. Well time got away from me this morning and I had to leave to get the IT but they weren't there when I got there, so I found a snap fit was near by and got my back workout in. My lower back was feeling a little iffy lately so I took it easy on the deadlifts and substituted the bent over rows with machine rows. It was still a good workout though. Then by the time I got back to the house for the IT they were home and I picked it up. It's in really good condition and I'm hoping it helps my back out a lot.

    Lat pulldowns
    125x10x3

    Superset with db rows
    65x10x3

    Machine rows
    165x12,10
    170x8,6

    Deadlift
    125x12
    215x10
    265x8
    215x6

    Straight arm pulldowns
    60x10x3

    Happy belated anniversary!
Inversions tables are pretty sweet, my parents got one right before i moved out and i would hop on it everyday.

I like the dedication of finding another gym while you were out just so you can smash a workout!
Dont worry about the weight gain...it was the scales fault, just replace the batteries

Thanks Billy. I'm liking the inversion table so far, it'll take a few weeks to see if its really going to help my back, but so far it feels pretty good while I'm on it. As much as I'd like to say the weight gain doesn't bother me, it does. I never like seeing the scale go up, even if I know it's just water weight. We'll see how my weighin goes tomorrow, not doing a refeed this week to see where things stand. I have a feeling if I'm not down at least a little bit we may be adding more cardio/ dropping cals a little.

Chest workout yesterday was ok, had to do an all db routine because the flat bench was being used continuously. Then did 30 minutes on the elliptical on intervals level 13.

    Db flat press
    50'sx10x3

    SS with flat db fly
    25'sx10x3

    Incline db press
    40'sx10x3

    SS with incline db fly
    20'sx10x3

    Assisted dips
    -90x8x3

Machine press dropset to 40 reps x2

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone had to time to check my form on these squats. The first four felt good but the last two were a struggle and my form broke down a little.

I would say keep your chest up and try to keep your elbows under the bar...that will help keeping your torso upright. You seem to do too much of a good morning during the squat...good stuff though man! keep it up!

Thanks for looking, I really appreciate it. I know I don't keep my chest up enough, I really am trying to though! I don't push through my heels enough either, I feel it more in the middle of my foot, not the heels. I'll try keeping my elbows under it and see if that helps. Thanks again!

    Weight:252.8 -0.6

Good to see the weight come down a little, though I'm still off my low by 2.2lbs, there might be a change coming today from Stan but I have t heard yet. I recieved my Magnum Opus and Tonic yesterday for product review so I will be starting up a log on that in the supplement logs. I'll also be logging a weight loss pill from Giant Sports called dexamine. I'm not really a believer in weight loss pills but I figured I'd give it a try since its free I should be receiving that this week along with four more tubs of protein that I ordered.

Yesterday's leg workout went well. I'm realizing that I don't like lying leg curl, I like the seated leg curl much better. Squats felt stronger than last week. Couldn't do my standing calf raises due to availability of machines.

    Squat
    135x12
    185x10
    225x8
    245x6

    Hack squat
    180x10x3

    SLDL with db
    75'sx10x3

    Leg extension
    135x15x3

    Lying leg curl
    115x12x3

    Seated calf raise
    90x15
    135x10x2

Hey everyone, some non bodybuilding news to share with you and I promise I won't mention it often. I'm raising money for a charity called St. Baldrick's, it's a non profit that raises money for children's cancer research. I'm going to be shaving my head at one of their events on March 14th and am trying to raise as much money as I can for them. I participated in an event back in 2011 and it was a great experience. I raised $1400 that year and would like to double that this time around. I know money is tight for everyone so if you can not give I completely understand, but if you could share my page on your ******** page so I can spread the word farther I would appreciate it. Even a $1 donation helps. As inventive for the person who makes the largest donation this year, I will be letting them choose a color for me to dye my hair for a full week before the event. Thanks for listening.

    http://www.stbaldricks.org/participa...ge/579320/2013

Wasn't going to shave my beard but the crowd chipped in an extra $400 to make it happen. I've only been beardless once in the past 12 years.

Took my Tonic and Opus yesterday for the first time. It says to take the Tonic on an empty stomach so I just made sure to take them between my meals. Not expecting to feel much from this for a while. I got the blue yasberry flavor of Opus, and to my surprise it mixes up orange in color. It does have a little bit of pressure in the shaker jar after mixing but not as bad as I was expecting from reading other logs. The taste was really good, I can't quite put my finger on what it tastes like but I could drink it all day. I downed the Opus and went straight onto the treadmill for my 10 minute warmup and then started lifting.

    Seated db curl
    40'sx10x3

    Superset with lying db extension
    25'sx10x3

    Ez-bar curl
    95x10x3

    Superset with rope extensions
    50x12x3

    Skull crushers
    55x10x3

    Wide grip bb curls
    55x12
    65x10
    85x8
    95x6

Then 30 minutes stairmaster intervals while watching breaking bad on my phone.

I didn't notice any BA tingles, but I rarely do, I was definitely more vascular and the pump was intense! I'm really looking forward to running the rest of the bottle.

    Weight: 253.2 +0.4

My weight continues to perplex me, we are dropping another 200 cals from my diet so we'll see what that does. I really felt like pushing my shoulders today which I haven't done in long time since they had been hurting, but I got a really nice pump today. I went into the workout a little angry because I had taken my wife's minivan in to have it detailed so we could sell it and when I got home we noticed that there was a huge dent in the bumper that i dont know where it came from. So now I have to take it back today and see what they have to say about it. It could have also been the fedex lady that brought a package on tuesday. Also did a HIIT session after lifting that I really didn't want to do but I pushed through it. 8 30-40 second sprints at 10.0 and 2 minutes walking in between.

    Back day

Back day is always a good day. Back and legs are my favorite days and chest is my least favorite. Hit a PR on bent over rows and deads today and all the deads were clean unlike the last time.

    Lat pulldowns
    125x10x3(PR)

Superset with bent over db row
    65x10x3

    Bent over bb row
    90x12
    100x10
    110x8
    135x6(PR)

    Dead lift
    135x6
    225x12
    265x10
    285x8
    305x6

    Straight arm pulldowns
    65x10x2
    60x10

I was supposed to do some cardio later in the day but I fell asleep on my couch at 7pm lol. Missed my last meal of the day too. Talked to my Stan about dropping some cals since I have been stuck in the 250's for quite a while and he decided to drop around 200 cals out which will put me around 2400 cals a day. I'm looking forward to this because I need the weight to go down. I know I'm gaining muscle but I'm not gonna be 250 and ripped, I need to drop the weight. I also started the contest at my work and would like to have a chance at winning some of the money thats available. I will also be starting taking a diet pill from Giant sports called Dexamine. Im not really a believer in diet pills but since its for free im going to give it a whirl. Keep crushing it!

Just did 30 minutes on the stairmaster yesterday, interval program level 6. I don't know what the deal was but I was sweating more than I have sweat in a really long time, just drenched! I love it though. Lately the treadmill hasn't been doing that for me so I'm going to lay off of it for a while. My wife wants to do a 5k with me this spring though so I think I'm going to start up a couch to 5k program pretty soon. Here are my new macros that Stan has me on, it's a pretty good drop so I'm hoping this will get me going!

I know whenever I am on fat burners or other thermogenic type supps, I tend to sweat a ton more than normal when doing cardio. Could maybe be from the new supps.

Also, I'm a fan of the shaved head look, I think you should keep. Though I may be partial to it since I shave my head voluntarily

Actually today is the my first day taking the dexamine so that's why it was strange. I look like a total moron with a shaved head, plus I don't have a nicely shaped head, bunch of weird bumps lol! I am going to shave it clean this time though. I didn't do that last time, just left it fuzzy from the clippers.

Yesterday was chest and its my weakest body part. I didn't get to do any cardio because my car broke down on the way home from the gym. It was 5 degrees out and I was in shorts, it was not fun. Got home really late(for me anyway) only got 4 hours sleep and I'm feeling it this morning. I also got news yesterday that my friend wants me to be his best man at his wedding. I'm extremely honored by this because I know that he has friends that are closer to him now. I got married a year out of high school and he's just now getting married 11 years later so as you can tell we took different paths in life and I'm so very honored that he still thinks this highly of me. But he's getting married in 12 weeks and that means I need to kick it into high gear. I know this is a stretch but I'd like to be in the mid to low 230's by then. I'm gonna talk to Stan about going full contest prep mode as if I had to be as lean as possible for an event. After that we'll probably have to maintain for a while which I'm find with. He's having us buy suits instead of renting and they are slim fit, I am not a slim fit type of guy! Gonna be hard work but I know I can achieve it with everyone's help.

Thanks, and the workout sucks, I don't know what my problem is with my chest but I just am so weak at it. The car is probably going to be a big repair, it was spewing out oil like mad.

In other news with the wedding only a month after my planned head shaving, I will be canceling my participation of that event. Also, depending on how much my car costs to fix, I may not be going to the Arnold as planned. That's a real bummer too becaus I was really looking forward to meeting a bunch of you.

Yeah, the car thing is a real downer. Seems those kind of things happen when you least want them too. Last week my wife just got a large screw in the tire of her SUV, now we need a new tire. SUV tires are expensive. Hate it. Hope everything works out - would suck if you couldn't make the Arnold, but I can try and grab some swag for you and mail it out if you want

Ya, things always come up at the wrong time, luckily tax returns are right around the corner. I'm hoping to still make it car came back cheaper than I was thinking but still over a grand, could have been a lot worse though so I'm thankful. I'm looking forward to the experience on the Arnold and meeting everyone more than the swag, even though the swag will be nice!

    Weight:253.4 +0.2

Even with the drop in calories the scale refuses to budge. Very frustrating but I know it will happen, Stan is going to be sending me an updated plan later today. Since I have the wedding in 12 weeks from Friday we are going to go balls to the wall for the next 12 weeks so I can drop the max weight possible in that time. After that, no matter what my body fat is, we will reverse out of it and help my metabolism recover and go on a very slow bulk, hopefully just maintaining and recomping all the way until my real prep sometime next spring. So I guess you could call this a mock prep. I'm going to go through everything that I would as if my contest was April 29th. Obviously I won't be anywhere near contest ready, but it will be a small test of how I will handle the actual prep next year Yesterday was leg day and it was a pretty good day. Hit a pr on squats even though I failed to get my full 6 reps, I got 5 pretty clean reps out. I also did 30 min stairmaster on the intervals program level 5.

    Squat
    135x12
    185x10
    225x8
    255x5 PR

    Hack squat
    180x10x3

    SLDL
    165x10x3

    Leg extension
    140x15x3

    Lying leg curl
    110x12x3

    Seated calf raise
    135x15,12,12,10,10

Standing calf raise on shrug machine
    4ppsx15,12,12,10,10
