since this thread is now about squats, i have a confession:

I was squatting a few weeks ago and lost concentration on my last rep (weight pr and was hitting 5th of 5x5--twas a great day) and ended up goodmorning'ing the damn thing-- i had no safeties set. Was a do or die sort of thing. Anyway, no injuries occurred but i am now scared sh!tless of them and havent done them since.

When one of the gym staff decides to start talking to you even though you make it clear with your body language and lack of eye contact that you don't want to be bothered and then proceeds to tell you that doing sets with 30 sec rest produces a lot of lactic acid. You then have to put on an exercise biochemistry clinic because you can't let nonsense like that slide and proceed to tell him that you cannot arbitrarily combine two species - H+ produced from ATP hydrolysis and lactate produced from glycolysis - and call it lactic acid. This is the same ******* that told me I should get some glutamine for recovery. Herp derp.
