so my sister works at trader joes and found out i love middle eastern food and brought me a platter from trader joes called middle east feast... only problem is that it has falafel which i know is not good... it also has hummous and tabouli salad... it comes with 2 sides of sauce which im guessing is for the falafel.. now the whole plate contains like 840 calories.. and i was wondering how many calories i could save if i didnt eat the falafel balls or the sauce... it comes with 3 falafel balls

[QUOTE=Emma-Leigh;454579141]If you are worried about it, perhaps if you wash it first?? Then it will be 'clean'. [/QUOTE/]
hahaha.. what i mean is would this be a healthy meal say for like a preworkout meal.. i would be eating this approx.. 2 hours before my workout.. i could also replace the tabouli salad with the mediterrainian salad which has couscous beets feta cheese olives and olive oil... just worried about fat content cuz i know the hummous has some kind of oil and maybe tahini which i heard was loaded with fat

enter rough quantities and include it in your calorie count for the day - you'll do no damage if you eat within reason.

if it's done the middle eastern way, then you're all good on the tabouli, since the dressing for it just squeezed lemon (some put olive oil at times though so I guess that's what I'd ask them, if they use it or not) other than that, it's pretty much just your standard salad of greens+tomato+chopped onion+Couscous
