Question What happens if you dont consume enough water while taking creatine?

From what i understand your supposed drink about a gallon of water every day which is about 125 fl oz, what will happen if you dont consume that much?

not a whole lot. over time it can cause kidney problems depending on dosage. you'll be dehydrated and you know what comes with that. If you can't drink the water you're supposed to don't take creatine.

the same thing as if you are dehydrated without creatine. Creatine increases glycogen levels in skeletal muscle which increase extra cellular water weight, so your muscles want more water taking it from your daily supply. The creatine isn't doing any damage to your kidney, being dehydrated is

I just started my loading phase today and ive been forcing water down my throat and still ive only gotten probably about a 100 fl oz. But i reckon ill get used to it and it wont be a problem to reach a gallon a day. I was just wondering in general, i know its important to drink lots of water while on creatine.

Well if it hastens saturation than doesnt that mean you would see results quicker also?

Dont load. There isnt really a point. It wont hasten saturation that much and you leave yourself open to bloating/GI issues.

    Just take 5g a day.

no, raising ATP levels and an increase in glycogen doesn't gize you gains. It just allows your body to better utilize what it has to work with a little
