A muscle building tip for everyone is carbs are more important when building muscle than protein!! why is it I always here that when trying to build muscle you need at least 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per day per pound of bodyweight. In my opinion carbs are more important when trying to build muscle. I have been lifting steady for 2 1/2 years now and I've tried taking 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight and I did not see any additional gains from what I take now. I currently weight 202 lbs 6"2 and only consume 140 grams to 160 grams per day. "you dont want a lot of simple carbs because it increases estrogen levels in your body. unless you eat them right after you workout. estrogen will quicken the uptake of protein and it repleneshes glycogen levels in your muscles!" -GOMDpls
