Hello everyone...
Right now I am going to the gym Monday through Friday. I try to take the weekends off due to church commitments and family time.
I've lost about 17 lbs. I was 223 lbs at my heaviest March 2013. For the last month or so I've been doing 1/2 hour weights, 1/2 hour cardio Monday Wed Friday and 1 hour cardio (3 different cardio machines, stair step, elliptical and treadmill).
I'm wondering whether it would be preferable to do 1 hour weights on my weight day instead of 1/2 hour weights and 1/2 hour cardio.
I've definitely noticed some toning and slimming down after starting weights. I've only been doing weights for about 2 months.
Thanks...

Stick with the weights! If you sacrifice anything due to time constraints, drop the cardio, make sure youre getting resistance training in!

In regards to losing weight, the only thing that is going to matter is the fact that you're eating at a calorie deficit.
Now as 'And1' suggested, if you are sacrificing anything, I would let it be the cardio. The resistance training will assist in muscle mass retention during your cutting period.USMC (2009-2013)

My average day in the gym consists of 1-1.5hours of weights. .5-1hour of olympics and like 15-30 minutes of cardio.
You can do it anyway you want. Cardio is only really purposeful to create the caloric deficit other than the cardiovascular benefits.Cutting 'cause fat.

Definitely a time investment. My problem is my job. I'm bivocational. Normal guy during the daytime and batman during nighttime. hehehehe...
I work a desk job during the day time (9 hours) but I'm also a pastor (at least a 2-4 hour commitment daily depending on the day)...so 1 hour for gym time is really all I can manage at this point. My two kids and wife use up the rest!
