I'm going to aim just for 350g of carbs and see how that goes for a week and increase it as needed. I know Thom gave me a plan in terms on increasing the carbs on a weekly basis. I'm just happy i'm sticking the prep phase out. Whether or not I'm losing weight is whatever lol.

Yeah, I'm usually stuffed after 300g right now. I try to push it over that before deadlift and squat days though.

I do also but at the same time i'm willing to experiement with a nutrition protocol to see if it works. Based on the anecdotal testimonies from vets on this board and elite powerlifters, it's enough for me to try it out. It's just a matter of spacing your macro intake out and around the most optimal timing.

I'm sure going from no carbs for 10 days straight to 350g in one day is going to have me knocked the fuk out lol.

If weight loss is no concern, fuarkin eat the chit outta carbs. I'm keeping my carbs to around 1g per lb of BW so I can cut a little bit of fat. But dude just go gorilla on dem carbs come time.

I am dot even doing the prep phase and have lost 3lbs in 2 days. I know it's basically water weight, but if I did the 10 day prep phase I would vanish into thin air haha.

What was your reasoning to not do the prep phase? I'm just curious. For me it's helped me get use to going low carb for the days I need to when I begin my CBL days. I don't think I would of been able to if I didn't do the prep phase.

Well reading about the density bulking phase, Kiefer mentioned that those with BF higher than 15% can lose fat and put on muscle for quite some time. and then he lists prep phase optional for those doing the Density Bulk.

So I took the optional route lol.

You've gone so far you might as well do another day or two.

If you want to speed things up a couple HIIT sessions will deplete you real fast.

Shouldn't he be depleted at this point regardless? But yeah, don't cut it short. You'll always wonder if your results could've been better by sticking it out and I doubt you wanna do it over from the beginning. Do your 10 days and then you know you're giving the diet the best possible chance to work. Did you lose some weight now?

True he probably is. But just more from a psychological perspective to really put the finishing touch on it.

Maybe down the line I'll try the prep phase out if I find results slow and cumbersome.

yep and then that first backload will be sooooooo sweet haha.

I just don't think I could last 10 days. Basically 2 days without Carbs is enough for me after yesterday and today. I am looking forward to dinner.

if I do a prep phase I'll do like 5-8 days and time it so I do my first CBL on Christmas hahaha.

edit: considering I am already on day 2 of minimal carbs(had a banana after my workout this morning) I might as well just try going a few extra days.

I can't see me going 10 days. But doing 5-6 days is probably doable haha.
