They look good - your feet are close together!! not bad - just makes it harder I imagine... how does it feel standing on the plates, is there enough 'push'?

Oh, hai, Superwoman!
Every time I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with my lifting, I come in here and it's like, "Yeah, Rickie, you're just a baby. Work harder. Must lift like Lori." Haha. Seriously. You are inspirational. Even more-so because you're a Newfie. Solidarity for the win!
I hear ya on the total chaos/business/no time for anything front. It's exhausting. You go, go, go, go, go, and then you go some more. And then by the time your head hits the pillow, your mind is racing so fast, you can't get to sleep... and then you're exhausted the next day all over again, because you didn't get enough sleep! Haha! It's impossible to fit everything in. Can you imagine having children on top of everything else?!
Anyways. I'm rambling.
Seems like you're doing awesome, despite the busy-ness. I'm so glad you got this other temp job - so relieving to have some steady income. Hopefully something else comes along right after you finish this stint!

Hey Ricki!
Oh, it's so crazy- the weekend just flew! I don't even know what happened! lol! It's exactly like you just described it- just constantly gone mad. I need a vacation! Hahahaha!
Oh, I forgot to mention it- but my supervisor asked me if I minded having my contract extended for some time last Thursday! I may be here for another year, or forever if I wanna be! Happy with that! Not sure I love the job, but the experience and paychecks are nice
Happy Monday!!!
~~~~~~
Going to get ready and go for a quick walk after I eat my sammich, and I gotta figure out where to get some balloons and cake and stuff- Stephen's birthday is on Thursday! ! Got lots of preparing to do!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
Lots of great stuff going on in here
Yay for picking a program, I know how fond you where of PMB! Your leg session looked pretty epic, you and your crazy reps with DL
Congrats on the job continuation offer! At least you know you will be employed for a good long time and like you said it will help building your resume.
We watched the the fight Sat too! It was pretty brutal Seeing St Pierre come back from his injuries like that was awesome Kinda sad that Carlos lost, you know the whole fighter being from my home town thing, but he put up a great fight.
Have fun planning stuff for Stephens B-Day!If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
Hahahha! I just love spoiling him! lol!
Thank you! It's really not a bad little job- today was great! I figure I won't get my dream job fresh out of school anyway without experience (unless you're Kasara! ), so I may as well build up my experiences/references doing something somewhat related. It IS office/adminstrative mostly, I do lots of scanning and various other administrative tasks, so it's not too far from what I'd like to do, really Having money for christmas is amazing! This workout was alright- I was making lunches, cleaning, doing dishes, and making supper at the same time
So pooped, I walked to the bus stop, walked to work from the mall bus stop, jogged to the dollar store at lunch and walked back, ran to the bus stop to get home, walked from that bus stop to home, did my workout while doing everything else...I literally JUST sat down.
I didn’t even get to eat supper yet and it’s 7:47! Lol! We’re having burgers and fries, and it’s all cooked and ready to eat. Just enjoying a nice cold beer first!
Chest and Biceps!
Weighted Push-Ups: 3x3-5 reps
BW + 42.5lbs x4 (PR! +2.5lbs, +4 reps!)
BW + 40lbs x3 (Thought this was 42- Stephen changed the weight )
BW + 42.5lbs x2 (PR!+2.5lbs, +2 reps)
Barbell Curls: 3x3-5 reps
45x10
65x3
85x1
80x3
80x3
Incline Weighted Push-Ups: 3x8-12 reps
BW + 40lbs x9 (PR! +5lbs, +9 reps)
BW + 40lbs x10 reps (PR! +10 reps)
BW + 40lbs x9 (PR! +9 reps)
Barbell Curls: 3x8-10 reps
65x8
60x9
60x6
Push-Ups: ??
BW x22
BW x21
BW x19
Plate Curls: 3x8-12 reps
35lb Plate x15 reps
45lb Plate x5 reps (PR!)
35lb plate x10 reps
Overall- a good workout! Left out the burn sets- got lazy. I didn’t want to do this workout at ALL, but we don’t get to be strong and look strong without working for it, right?? Going to go drink the rest of my beer, eat, shower, watch some Game of Thrones or Walking Dead (depending on what time Andrew gets home, and pass outTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers
I really don't know how you can be bothered doing a workout after a day like that...especially your strong workouts haha. That's why I have to work out first thing in the morning...I'm too likely to put it off in the evenings.
Hahahhaa! Love those movies!!!
I hear ya! lol! Morning workouts are not an option for me- not until we move out anyway, out roommateb sleeps right next to the weights, and it'd be a little loud! It helps though that Stephen works out with me- we just talk and lift and do chores inbetween sets. Hahaha! It's not so bad!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
Although, Assassins creed would be sweet to buy too....Oh dear....Which game!? Erica!? lol! How's Assassins Creed 3???
Then when I get home it'll be back workout day, and cake making time! And balloons have to be blown up in preparation for tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited! I have a bunch of surprises for Stephen he's going to love! YAY! Be back later with workout!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
Assassins Creed 3 was awesome! The story line is probably the best in the series In the first part it leaves you with a nice WTF just happened feeling.
Wow hats a lot of activity there , glad you got some rest That chest and bicep workout looked brutal, you and your weighed push ups lol.If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
Awesome workouts since I last got to catchup Lori - you really rocked the deadlifts girl!
Sounds like things have been busy but good for you, job extension, birthday celebrating about to happen. I think beer makes any birthday good hehe
I think Santa is going to be bringing Mommy and Daddy some Xbox games this year so maybe I'll have to add Assassins Creed 3 to my list. I've been watching Amazon like a hawk to see if there are any good lightning deals where I can snag something for a big discount!
Enjoy the birthday celebration tomorrow!!Please join me on my journey to find balance:
It looks SO GOOD! I wanted to buy it really bad, but then I was talking to Stephen's brother and he said he remembered Stephen mentioning how much he wanted need for speed. I don't like the review it got, other than that there would have been no question, and I know he likes assassins creed as well (we both do!) but in the end I went with Most Wanted. I will get him assassins creed for christmas.
Thank you! Wish I had gotten some yesterday Ugh- sleepy! Still so sore too!
Thank you!
Yay for games! I haven't played a new one in forever- I'm dying!
Oh, come on guys- I'm bored out of my mind here- you need to start posting more! lol! Because you all have holidays my phone here isn't ringing Boring dog dangling day today. At least I get to do some scanning this morning after 9, but this afternoon will be awfully slow.
Never got my workout in. I was so sore, adn I had so much to do. BUT- I made a fabulous oreo cake and decorated it and put up balloons and everything! Our sink keeps clogging and that took some time to fix, and I had to go to the store and buy some icing sugar, and did 2 loads of dishes (before and after supper) and I had to make lunch and shower....It's so hard to get my workouts in. I need a better plan.
I think my biggest problem is that I get overwhelmed with the amount of things I have to do after work, I mean, I'm home at 5:45, and in bed at 10:00-10:30. I start my workouts at 6:00. If I could forget everything else and do my workouts as fast as possible and be done by 7, I'd have 2 hours to do dishes/make supper/do dishes/make lunch/get showered. Because 9:00-10:00-10:30 is our downtime before bed. I'll try that instead of trying to multi-task during my workouts. lol!
Tomorrow night we're meeting at the mall after work and picking up the groceries at Zehrs (spelling?) and then we'll take the bus home by around 7:00. So today I'll do back, triceps, and shoulders. Stephen was all like "I don't care if it's my birthday tomorrow, I'll do a workout anyway. What else is there to do?" Not knowing that I bought him a game he'll want to play. Hahaha! I have to get my workout in thoguh. Not missing any days next week no matter what.Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
