Hi,
I have asked Ben Pakulski about the best and most usefuls certifications out there and he has recommended RTS123:
resistancetrainingspecialist.com/rts123.html (I can't post the whole link yet)
Has anyone here done it? I live in Europe and I'd have to do the online version so I wonder if it's really worth it, I have a degree in Sport and exercise science but I'm always trying to learn more.
Thanks

I'm currently taking the RTSm stream having already done RTS 123 three years ago. I can tell you it is probably the most comprehensive course I've taken in my 13 years of training and over a dozen others. It has completely changed the way I perform my job and apply the knowledge that I have. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Woofie, I think I have read about you mentioning this in the past. I am a very skeptical person. This is probably both my greatest strength, and weakness. In any case, I am trying to look at the RTS 123 course objectively. There 3 modules combined cost $1350 from my quick research. At least in my area, this is pretty average for a college course. A college course would meet for ~16 weeks, 3 hours per week, for a total of 48 hours. This appears to be the same as the amount of time as the RTS 123 modules. I'm okay with people being paid for their time.
My question is whether or not the knowledge gained is really worth it. For instance, what are examples of practical things that you learned that changed your training methods? I am interested in learning whether or not I have been too skeptical about some of these certifications such as MAT and RTS. My worries are that the information is not significantly different than that which can be learned from a study of biomechanics, or that the information is inaccurate.

SFT I have the same doubts as you, I wonder if it's gonna change our approach to training people practically. Also, is the Online version as good? I am also looking into Poliquin PICP coach course. I know Poliquin is VERY controversial, specially on nutrition, but I am interested in structural balance and that's what he teaches in the first courses. I may open a thread to see if anyone has done it.
