Alabama is 9 point favorite in the Natl Championship..... I will take that line ANY day ....
Anyone up for a small bet on here for maybe a small supplement deal or small order (like 50$) based off winner? I get ND, and you would get bama but i get 9 points for the spread (bama has to win by 9+)

I think Kobe has the right to be angry, I mean if you look at his stats the last few games, he's been literally carrying the team. It's a problem that the team's #1 in assists is Kobe lol kinda ironic too. Gasol's been with the Lakers for a while but I think it's time they do something with him :/
Red Soxs are just desperate for whatever they can get...Like you said, they definitely don't have a plan for who they want to sign."The Will to Win means nothing without the Will to Prepare."

Kobe becomes the 5th player in NBA history with 39k points
I think it is too hard to directly compare players across ERAs but Kobe is certianly top 5 post Dream Team Era
C- Shaq
PF- Timmy
SF- Lebron
SG- Kobe
PF- Iverson/Nash?
The last one is debatable. You could move Lebron to PG and put KG, or Dirk in the forward spot.Founder of MMDELAD

Was looking at some draft experts projections and they all have the Qbs real low
No surprise.
But Did you know you have to go back to 2000 to find a year when no QB was taken in the top 3?
I wonder how late we do go before someone caves and reaches for Barkley, SMith, or Klein
If I were an NFL personel guy and my team needed a QB this offseason, I honestly think I would wait it out and stink for another year and see who is available next year. CHances are if your team is that bad, you can use help in lots of places. When you take a QB just because you end up being like the Jags and taking Gabbert and leaving Watt on the board.
I was also really surprised to see Te'o as #2 on Kiper's Big Board. I am a big ND fan but he just seems quite undersized tto be an NFL linebacker. My only thought is that maybe we start seeing smaller faster LBs to deal with the emergence of the TE usage (need more cover LBs?).Founder of MMDELAD

Well, I also have Rice, CJ2?K, Dez Bryant (boom or bust), and Jimmy Graham still to play.
(Also started Demaryius Thomas who got me 8 points, and Peyton got me 14 points.Moreno pretty much matched their combined output.)
However, I'm pretty sure that not all three (Rice, Johnson, and Forte) will hit 21 or more points like Moreno did. -_-
I also started Myers over Rudolph in my PPR league.

If you owned a professional sports franchise, what would your order of priorities be?
1. Winning, Business, Control (your play toy)-Steinbrenner
2. Winning, Control, Business-Cuban
3. Business, Winning, Control- Red Sox
4. Business, Control, Winning- Jets
5. Control, Business, Winning- Jerry Jones
6. Control, Winning, Business- Dan SnyderFounder of MMDELAD

Extremely well put. You matched up the owners perfectly IMO.
What I think some of these owners don't seem to grasp (Jerry Jones, Jets, Snyder) is that without winning you don't have a fan base to make you money. The only difference is Jerry could easily be categorized as the fan type as he could the business type. IMO he's at the point where he has so much money, at this point he's interested in giving his fans the best experience possible. I think he knows that he needs a winning team to make that ridiculous arena investment worth while. I have a feeling a big change in the Dallas organization is coming soon. He knows the team is not keeping pace with the money he's invested. Unfortunately the jets aren't there. They are playing (lettuce be cereal here) in the giants stadium and leaching off them. Judging by their choice to start Sanchez again this weeks they're afraid to make big moves and are clinging on to something they think will work, but won't. Steinbrenner on the other hand wants to win. But, at the same time he's old school and is afraid to start fresh and build a new team. He seems to be content with staying relevant enough to be relevant . Does that make sense?

It makes sense but as someone who follows the Cowboys, closely, I seriously doubt JJones is going to give up control. He is case 1A of wanting to play with his toy IMO.
He thinks he is a real GM/ personnnel guy because as he says, he spends sooo much time on looking at players.
He ignores the fact that he is a sucky evaluator of talent, doesn't know how to put a team together, and cant win with a puppet coach that lets him make all the decisions.
No system of checks and balances in place whatsoever. What Jerry wants, Jerry gets.Founder of MMDELAD

I completely agree. Like I said, I think he realizes the team isn't keeping pace with the investment he's made and thus a big change is coming soon. I dont foresee him retiring anytime soon so I predict he'll make some big changes relatively soon. Like you said he won't give any power to the coach and that's his biggest downfall. He'll make these big changes, but nothing will actually change. That's why he ended up with Romo and a barely .500 team. I'm willing to bet the next time we see the cowboys as a sb contender someone else will be making the decisions.

Id say owners who require the least amount of control have the most success.
Even the Marlins who put the bottom line far ahead of winning have won two WS titles becuase the owners still let the baseball people make the baseball decisions.
Alternatively the Patriots have had huge success year in and year out and turn a huge profit because Bob Kraft lets BBelichek take care of the football. He still gets to play somewhat, but does so on the business end of things. He built a a new stadium and shopping complex next to the stadium with hotels and restaurants and he runs those. If he told Bill to draft player X, Bill would look at him cross-eyed and tell him to get out of his office. In Dallas, if Jerry told Garrett (or whoever is coaching) to draft player X and his coach didn't , Jerry would look a the coach cross-eyed for 2 seconds before firing him. Patriots end up with unflashy stars as early picks (Wilfork, Mayo, insert college player you never heard of) and the Cowboys end up with flashy headcases or busts (Roy Williams, Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, Dez). He refuses to ever go into rebuild mode, so his team is perpetually 8-8 as you said.Founder of MMDELAD
