    Smile L-Tyrosine for preworkout?

Interested in feedback from others who have used L-Tyrosine for preworkout? Does it help to increase focus and intensify any preworkout supplements? Dosage around 2 grams?

It needs to be combined with other stimulants to be really effective imo.

Something such as Basic Cuts or Phenadrine?

Does it intensify the effect or what role does L-Tyrosine play?

tyrosine is used in the synthesis of catecholamines (adrenaline / noradrenaline)

Caffeine and yohimbine stack well with it, basic cuts would be a good addition.

Not sure if this is the case, but thought I had also heard it has an effect on increasing libido?

Tyrosine or the yohimbine? The yohimbine will by inhibiting alpha 2 adrenoreceptors in your, ahem, penis.

Is a dosage of around 2-3grams then about right timed with preworkout?

Some people react really badly to yohimbine, some don't. Too bad you don't respond to it well, if you are looking to increase libido, ive heard good things about maca, and its cheap as well.

well, a libido boost seems reasonable enough to me since it converts to L-dopa. L-dopa will usually get me raring to go, plus you need less time to re-up when you're slaying the hoodrats.

Tyrosine is great. It was actually studied by the military during cold weather experiments. Essentially it increases mental focus and accuity which can transiently increase endurance and performance. Here's a good reference for those interested.

i use bulk powder at 3g preworkout and honestly when i run out i won't be buying more. the benefits it provides are marginal at best imo. its not expensive so i would say try it out and if you like it, good, if not, no big deal.

l-tyrosine is awesome for preworkout - but i think as opposed to a high dose of a single ingredient, it mixes much better with other similar ingredients

Varies really; some days Basic Cuts, some days Cytolean, some days Geranium, etc.

Agree. Thats the range I have been playing with.

It really shines when used with caffeine, esp if your stim tolerant and caffeine usually doesnt do much. Ya have to experiment with the dosage of both.

Is L-Tyrosine a precursor to the thyroid hormone t4, which would then convert to t3?

If so, does it then help to regulate your thyroid and speed things up a bit?
