I can't tell.....is this an older Pendulum Power Squat machine?[/QUOTE]
Sure is .... Built to last a lifetime...the Rogers pendulum is some nice stuff but nothing compares to what Tyler built himself. He truly built his machines to last a life time. I have had great results training off his original pieces the past year the more I use them the more I like them. The older York plates are a perfect Match for the original pendulum pieces

I am 6'2 the basement height is 6 '2 1/4
When I squat my head goes between the rafters. There are limitations to some exercises and many times I have to duck so I don't hit my head on a pipe. Installing the Equipment down there would of disabled most men but despite the height every time I go down there I know I am going to get in an encredible workout with no distractions. In the future we plan to own a home with a massive basement or a big old barn.

If anyone is wanting to buy some York stuff, there's a guy in Sacramento selling some plates @0.50/lb and he has a Schisler weight rack to go with it. Also, has some bars and what looks like York collars.

Don't disagree. I have two pairs of 45s from the 70's that were still in the original packing when I got them, along with a pair of unused 35s. The original paint is very good looking -- and satin, not flat. For many of my other plates there was too much surface rust and too little original paint to not repaint.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I had pics, but deleted them. I'll try and take some more today. You need a York Barbell Club #.

It was hard to get good lighting in the basement. Had to set on timer and place it down to not shake. There was an artistic theme to the photographs... The theme was "milling." - Post # 47

This York Bench Press was my first piece of York equipment that my dad bought me when I was in Junior high in the mid 90s. The leg developer is a recent addition that I picked up a couple months ago. It is York but now made in China. The Bench is made in PA. Does flat and incline. It has held up like a tank over the years. The quality of this bench is what made me want to stick to York product. Sadly now that they are made in China I probably wouldn't buy new York stuff.
Below we have a shot containing: Vintage York bench + Vintage York Bar + Vintage York plate + Vintage york collar. Kids, it doesn't get any more York than this.
Below are some old school York standard plates on the leg developer.
These are arm straps that I got for free with a purchase at GNC. I actually use them a lot.

I have 6 milled 45s.
Insanely deep milling on this pair of 25s
Below are my Roundheads plus a pair of hex 5s I grabbed at Play it Again. Not really sure what to do with them...

A 35 and 25 to show milling.
My cat inspecting the spin lock collars. I'm a big fan of these
This bar should be from the late 60's/Early 70's. Sleeves spin great. Haven't used it yet. I plan on setting up a dead lifting area on the other side of my basement and using the bar for that. Currently using a 6ft Canadian York made bar for bench pressing and curling. The 6 foot bar fits the area better for loading plates and for bicep curls. I bought the 6ft bar a few months ago.

Oh yeah, I'm looking for more roundheads. Basically anything between 15 and 50lbs, minus the 35s I already have.

Very nice! Suggest a db rack and a weight tree. That's a good looking gym.

Thanks. Yeah if I end up getting more roundheads I'll need a dumbbell rack eventually. I kind of like having the 45's all lined up on the wall and since I'm not really using them at the moment (I never need more than the 35s+ for benching) They make nice decor. I'll start using the 45s more when I dead lift presumably.
Also, I don't have a squat rack. I do db squats now. That's working fine for now and I don't really intend to get a squat cage any time soon. I don't really have the space for it, not want to invest in it and set it up in a rental house. Someday if I get my own place I'll probably get one.
If anyone has extra roundheads they'd be willing to part with hit me up. Also need a couple deep dishes of course... you know.. for the collection.Last edited by SpinLock; 10-01-2012 at 07:18 PM.

I have a question regarding Rounhead construction. I have been watching them on ebay etc and have seen a lot of descriptions that say something like this, "The heads are tight and the handles are straight however they do have a very slight broken bat rattle when sat down on a hard surface."
What exactly does that mean? Should I not buy a roundhead with a rattle? Did they come new with the rattle, or is it the result of the being dropped and the handle coming lose in the casting? If there is a rattle does it mean the the db is compromised? Should I hold out for a non-rattler?
Reps for a thorough answer

No rattlers. Something has come apart, disintegrated, within the roundhead.

Sorry to break the news to you guys, but theres someone going around painting yorks what I can only describe as 'eyeliner blue'.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Olympic-we...20993559197%26
...and it gets worse.... he describes them as "the ones with the big holes". I feel like adopting them just to give them a good life and save them from any more needless abuse. Sweet lord, why do people bring iron into the world just for someone to do this to them? :sadface:My training log:
