Hey Getsum I just wanted to stop by and thank you for giving me those reputation points.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

I think I'm about 3 weeks out from joining the 300 pound club. I'm currently working on 3 rep sets, and I almost had 295 on Monday. Just couldn't lock it out. I know it's only a matter of time before my strength stalls on this cut to the 160's. Just need a little longer...
I will post whatever I'm able to put up next week.

I decided at this point that id rather be trimmer than work on moving my bench press up so im cutting until I hit 138.0 myself. Good job on almost getting that 295 though bro. Im repping you now.

"Like the other comps. this will run until the end of June (June. 30, 2013) and cut-off for new entries will be April 30th 2013. All entries must be 1-rep and caught on vid. All vids must between the dates of this month (February) until the end of June. 2013"
"I'll probably split up the weight classes during the second half of this years comp based on the number of entries. Go with 20 pounds classes starting at 151# or something."Last edited by stingray72; 05-23-2013 at 06:55 PM.

Im coming down to the 150.0 class next week and do a bench press video to give lonewolf something to shoot for. It should be 210 - 215. The 250 was something extra because my true max was usually 230 at that time. I never experienced a surge in strength like that before.

Easy there, killer. LOL. My right shoulder was on fire last week, so I was working low weight on pushing movements. It's getting better, so if it feels good tonight, I'll get a video up. This dropping body weight thing is getting in my head some too. Currently at 171. I spend a bit too much time obsessing about when my strength will start to drop. I have to get my mind right before I train tonight.

Yea, how freaking rediculous is this... I was nervous to train on Sunday... nervous that I was going to let myself down.
So, I threw on my Capt America t-shirt.. and straighted out my mindset. 275 x3 clean and solid reps (camera has issues, been plugged in all week, wouldn't turn on..). Anyhow, not a technical gain from last time I wrestled with 275... but the reps where better... I am sure you know what I mean.. the grind was less.. grindy... heh.
What's the deal with your shoulder ? what's your training like for shoulders ?
Note: I have come to the point that I will admit my diet is killing my progress. Time to modify... I've quite litterally, not given it the attention it needs to lean out and grow.Last edited by trev71; 06-04-2013 at 07:07 PM.

Went in today to get a clean lift at 345. Warmed up, did 6 at 225, 5 at 275, 2 at 315, and then felt good about getting 345. Asked a buddy of mine to spot me and set up my phone to video and got ready. I told him, " do not touch that bar unless it is going down or it is on my chest", he says " ok, got it". I unrack the bar, touch my chest and start up and the first thing he does is to reach out and put his fingers under the dang bar!!!!. I racked the bar and said, "why did you do that?" "Oh you did it, I just put my fingers there just in case". I said, " well you just screwed me out of the lift, I needed a video of it clean". "But you did it all yourself" he says. What is it with people? Maybe next chest day I can get a clean one up.
