    I actually started using chalk and doing heavy (for me) rack pulls paused at the top for a few seconds. The chalk really seems to help a LOT and i think it contributed substantially to my gains.

    Do you do specific forearm work outs, or just compound and other exercises and using forearms as synergist muscles?

    Have you had any problems with wrists/forearm work outs? I know some that get problems with that.

    Most of my forearm workout comes from heavy shrugs, rack pulls, and deadlifts. Sometimes I'll do farmers walk at the end of a trap workout just to burn out the forearms a little bit more, but I've never really done any direct forearm work like wrist curls.

    Yeah but... When I do regular exercises, I don't usually twist my wrists therefore causing the forearm to be stretched/worked out. However I do feel them get bigger since I have been doing direct forearm work outs.

    I know it could cause some sort of pop-eye look maybe? But my wrists/forearms are pretty small in the first place so I'm playing catch up with people who have good forearm genetics probably.

    using heavy weights for anything with stimulate the forearms. the heavier the weight, the harder you have to grip it, the more you recruit your forearms.

    I would do whatever feels good to you and seems to work, but like somebody said above... deadlifts do work wonders.

    do you have measurements?

    my forearms went from 12 inches to 14.5 inches in 1 year. i just isolated the hell outta them twice a week. i'm jealous of your rack pulls.. my grip strength is horrible compared to my forearm size. i'm going to start doing heavy pulls

    What do you mean by upper arm?

    I measured around my forearm (wrapped it around) to come up with 11.4" at it's thickest part. I'm hoping I measured it right lol.

    I do wonder if I can reach anywhere close to 15" in time.

    by upper arm I mean around my bicep/tricep.

    i measured my forearm by doing a bicep flexing pose with my hand pointing outward measuring around the largest part of the forearm.
