    Turmeric/Curcumin dosage?

I have a bottle of Himalaya Turmeric and I want to know if one capsule a day is enough to see a benefit. Not taking it for a particular reason, just for preventative.

I probably use more Turmeric than anyone here...lol... love the stuff.

I use a few different products and if it is not a more modernized form for enhanced absorption you might need Bioperine to make it more bioavailable. 500mg at least standardized to 95% curcuminoids as well is the lowest amount for some benefits to health, etc...

I use AOR's CurcuPlus D Ultra which uses what many curcumin experts consider the ideal form with highest bioavailibilty and absorption called Longvida... it uses Solid-Lipid Particle Curcumin Nanotechnology and has shown a 12x greater absorption compared to typical 95% curcumin varieties in human studies. As a bonus they add D3 for synergy benefits.

btw, it isn't cheap. One of my fav. products easy though. I'd rather spend on something that actually has good research and benefits along with proven safety than many products in the bb'ing industry.

why would you consider it your fav product?

Is it because you feel it really does all it is advertised?

It's more like a standardized black pepper. That's a terrific stack btw... I do similar and always try and combine curcumin with a green tea ext. when I use it... there is research showing real synergy esp. when it comes to anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory benefits. I recommend everyone try and do that.

Look up longvida. It's pretty new, but there has been some good research done on it showing effectiveness and clear safety as well. You know you're getting something that works and something that's safe and high quality... not always the case with many herbal products.

I like turmeric also. As others mention, good anti-inflamatory. I just take one capsule a day as that seems to work well for me. I personally didn't notice benefits taking more than that.

If you are simultaneously using a Bioperine containing product you could add it in with that. Black pepper might help a little though.

btw, it isn't cheap. One of my fav. products easy though. I'd rather spend on something that actually has good research and benefits along with proven safety than many products in the bb'ing industry.
Why not buy turmeric bulk? That's what I do. Super cheap than buying pill form. Heck, I take 2 rounded teaspoons daily! LOL Ya, it tastes like s**t, but if it helps, who cares?! I have cystic fibrosis, and some prelim studies have shown benefits of turmeric for us cfers, on top of helping fighting infections and some cancers, reducing inflammation, and treating digestive problems, antioxidant properties, etc.

Supposedly turmeric isn't that easily digested in humans. Some suggest taking something like Bromelain w/it. I don't, but might sometime. GLTA
