Hi! So I've been lifting weights now for about a month and a half, and a friend at work said that I should look into taking some protein shakes for recovery. I have put myself on a strict eating plan (i hate calling it dieting lol) and I would like to take a protein powder thats low carbs, low sugar, high protein and of course tastes great. If anyone could please give me some recommendations as to the ones they like that won't make me bloat up or that have a million calories in them, I would really appreciate it!

I started using Muscle Gauge pure whey protein isolate in chocolate and ice cream sandwich. It is only sweetened with stevia and has 1 grm fat, 1 carb, and 24 grms of protein. I like the ice cream flavor in my plain yogurt with cinnamon. I also like the fact that I can add a banana to put some carbs in. I did use the Myofusion that tastes really good but I can't get past the artificial sweetners they use..sucralose..it doesn't agree with me.
I like to take the ice cream flavor and add a scoop of super seed from garden of life. It gives me extra fiber and around 2.5 grms of fat and add some banana and I have a complete meal. For the liquid I'll use half almond breeze and half water. It keeps me full.

ON pretty much covers what you're looking for. Plus, it's a great price. I've also just recently ordered some Myofusion and WOW is that tasty!

My new fav is ON HydroWhey in Turb Chocolate. it is sooooo yummy. I love the ON line of whey in general but the hydo stuff is even better!

get muscle gauge. I really can't stand the taste of the ON whey. It just tastes like a TON of faux sweetener. Muscle gauge uses stevia and it's not too prominent either (I usually don't like the taste of stevia either).
i like ice-cream sandwich. The price is right too. I got 10 lb for 55$"We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey"

I'm a big fan of ON as well. Like their Oats & Whey, 100% Gold Standard, Nitro Core, Casein, etc.

Optimum Nutrition also do a completely natural whey protein. it's called 'Gold Standard 100% Natural Whey'. It only comes in 3 flavours - vanilla, strawb or choc (since the flavours are natural!). I get the vanilla and it's delicious! I tried the normal Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard which is not 100% natural and didn't like this at all. As mentioned in a few of the above posts, it tasted very artificial.

Hey!
I've tried a few kinds, would NOT recommend ISOfemme, super sweet and gross. I'm currently using Whey Gourmet, they have DELICIOUS flavours, 3-4g carbs instead of the 1g that some have, but so tasty it's worth it. I also really enjoyed the ISOflex by allmax. Peanut butter chocolate/mint chocolate both super tasty!
Hope that helps
