    Concept of iifym

    I still can't really get the concept.. I've read te stickies. I heard not to use ratios or percentages for macros. I am
    160 lbs and I get 160 g of protein,80 g I fat, and I usually don't hit my calories at that point. That's where I get stuck. If I hit those two macros, do I just eat whatever to
    Get to my calories? Or is there certain macros to eat? This is pissing me off

    You eat enough calories to meet your daily need. Of those calories, 720 at a minimum are from fat. 640 at a minimum are from protein. The remainder of your calories are carbs, protein, and fat in whatever ratio you so desire.

    The answer to your question is yes. Eat what you want, however try to get fruits and veggies and whole foods for a large portion because you need micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) in order to maintain overall health.

    doesnt matter, those are minimums hit those and eat whole foods for micros. The exact composition of macros past the minimums is up to you.

    Not really the only thing you need to watch is to make sure you are eating plenty of varied fruits and veggies and whole foods in order to hit micros. Doesn't mean you can't eat ice cream or poptarts though.
