id worry more about the squats and deadlifts lol.
ya noobs notice arms but true lifters, then they see big legs and back, they know that your serious, and knowwhat your doing.
just do dips, theyll explode your tri's

My bi's/tri's grew insanely fast in the first 3 months of serious working out after that it's slow and I can hardly notice much gain month to month.. watch out for catabolism if you want to get bi's bigger.

From my expierience and training i would emphasise on prioritising your triceps because they are so much larger than the biceps ppl spend so much time training bis when all hey need is about 30% of what should be done for tris, but realistically i doubt u will be able to add size that quickly.
i trained for two years hammering bis and neglecting tris till a guy gt it thru 2 me how important tris were and after a year of steady hard(but sensible training) they added great mass to my arms that are now 18 "and a bit.Last edited by Rick246; 02-11-2008 at 10:10 AM.

you could if you focus more on your tris than ur bis, suggest weighted dips, flat bench, tri pushdown, skull crunches. all will blow up ur tris.

Triceps are a larger group than biceps. Do something like a lying tricep extension(skull crusher), and V-rope pushdowns are also effective. If you can, try dips with a chain or two around your neck. For biceps, seated concentration curls work on your peak, while hammer curls attack your lower bicep and forearm. You don't need to do too many arm workouts because your biceps and triceps work hard in back and shoulder as well as some chest on the days you train them.

Biggest tri builders: close grip bench (elbows under the bar, go outward) and dips (weighted)
Then: French curl, skullcrushers, and I personally like pushdowns (can use more weight, and if you use a rope, physics are on your side)
I just started doing tate presses, I like 'em.

I believe its about 10-12 lbs of muscle on your body = 1 inch on your bi's, if the muscle is evenly distributed throughout the body.

Agree x2 to your x9 ****in billion..
Traps/back make someone look big, and thickness comes great with Traps/back..
with your deads/rows/shrugs ect..
..Sure it would be nice to have big arms? but if you have "big" arms and ****ty everything else? whats the point of working out?

If you want to make your arms bigger the best thing you can do is the three main lifts: Squats, Deadlifts, and Benchpress - they'll expand your arms more than any amount of curls ever will.

Have you heard of close-grip bench presses? They'll take your triceps and blow those suckers up... your triceps are 2/3 of your arm, therefore your arms will look bigger.

Wana look big at all times? Build your traps! People will always notice traps no matter the size of your shirt. Good luck with your arms though.

I wasn't talking about your biceps, I was talking in relation to the OP's original question. If someone wants bigger arms, they're going to get them from building their triceps which are 2/3 of their upper arms.
I can think of very few people that I've ever seen with triceps that are noticeably bigger than their biceps in terms of proportion. So for most people the part of their arm that's lagging, and indeed the part that they should train in order to gain more mass on their arms - is indeed, their triceps.
