Unclogging toilet/bathtub (serious)

What's the strongest substance I can get at a store to unclog both the toilet and bathtub? Mine are clogged and there's literally **** and stuff coming out of the bathtub so I guess both are linked to the same sewage. I need something that can practically eat through metal (just kidding, but you get what I mean). There's some Bounty towels in there, a few used condoms, and large loads of crap I took. Yes it's disgusting but it's all clogged up and I'm too embarassed to call the plumber. The plunger doesn't do **** because that stuff is all the way down there.

For the tub, I would get one of those wire brush things. Snake is what it is called maybe? You have to unscrew the drain top and then just put the wire down in there and it pulls out all the hair.

Thats all I've ever used for my tub and it works great.

I think the stuff is clogged farther down than I can reach...I don't know ANYTHING about plumbing, but it seems like it's about 15 feet into the sewage where both the toilet and bathtub meet and then it's just clogged. The kitchen sewer works fine, though I think.

YOu need a drain opener with acid. Call home depot and lowes and see what they have. If they don't have it go to a plumbing supply place tell them you are a plumber and want some clobber. Be careful with it.

I didn't use it as a substitute. Yesterday night I went to take a shower and I noticed the water wasn't going down and then ****water started to come out of the drain. I didn't put anything down the bathtub drain.

Ok for your toilet..

I would empty as much water out of the toilet as you can (using a bucket or whatever).

Have some towels handy--water is probably going to be splashed, no matter what.
(I would first try plunging well after this, but I'm guessing you already have)

Take a plumbing auger (or snake) and go as far down the drain as you can. I'm guessing you'll reach the problem quicker than you think.

If you think you've gotten the clog out, try flushing the toilet. If no water is going down, just stop the water flow by lifting the float (ball) inside the toilet.


Try again. If it doesnt work, you're best off calling a plumber.

Yea, yesterday night water flowed onto my carpet and into my hallway closet. I had to shut off the water valve to prevent the water from leaking. I think it was so clogged that water started coming out from the bathtub drain, and also a bolt popped off the toilet that was holding it down and water started coming out of there. And in my closet there's a pipe I guess for the water flow, and it started leaking from there too.

The liquid plumber stuff that comes in 2 bottles linked together and they mix when you pour it works great. I'd get a few bottles of that before you call the plumber.

Dude, call the plumber, say "this ******* tenant of mine clogged my toilet". While the plumber is there continually act angry and say things like "when I get a hold of that bastard..." "that little cock sucker". That way he'll be fooled and not think you are the **** clogger.

Try a snake and liquid plumber...If a bolt popped of the toilet that you are going to have to get a new wax ring for the tiolet...The tub and toilet sewage line connect at a point depending on how far apart they are...They make a pretty nice plunger now that is real forceful looks like a big pump..If you use a plunger plug up the tub and sink..The force from the plunger will go out the path of least ressistance...

Try using about 2 cups full of bleach and some windowleen

then let it sit for a few hours


otherwise; get a huge bucket of water and pour it in (pressurises the pipeline)

or get a bigger plunger(bigger head)

or you could just get some pipecleaners, metallic wires coated in foam so you dont scratch the porcelain

I tried pouring in water already, but I think it's much too clogged. It's not just my ****, it's paper towels, condoms, and t.p.

Don't worry about the greyish mist that comes out,That just means its working.

Check your slop sink down the basement if you have one. If that is blocked too, it's your main line going out to the sewer, and you gotta have it snaked out from the outside going to the sewer. You can check this by going outside and looking down the pipe...there may be crap coming up outside too...lol that sucks.
This is common in urban areas with older smaller pipes. This happened to me a couple times over the years.
Oh yeah use scott, not that thick soft tp, my plumber says it dosen't disolve in the sewer lines....it cost me 250 bucks for the dude to snake the line.

No basement here

****, I just tried dishwashing liquid and hot water and now there's lots of bubbles coming out from the bottom of the toilet where the screws are that hold the toilet down.

So after about 10 minutes the water in the toilet does go down after I flush it once. The water rises to the top of the rim of the seat then it slowly goes down all the way. BUT the water leaks from the bottom sides where the toilet is screwed/bolted to the ground. The nut came loose and water leaks from there. I have the water turned off right now after I flushed too. Is this a good sign that at least the water IS going down?
