the other night i had a stir fry. in this stir fry i had

    half a brocoli
    a carrot
    a whole brown onion
    a whole avocado
    1/5 red capsicum
a whole red chilli (big mistake :P)
    2 large mushrooms

1 LARGE chicken breast marinated in soy/sweet chilli sauce.

then later in the night i had a bowl of walnuts/almods (about 130 grams worth)

its ok to have caffeine during the day. if you wanted to take creatine post workout that would be fine.

I don't see why not with the caffein/ Should be fine. Cofee or tea is more recommended though.

I alternate between IF and WD. A couple of days, I do IF and that all depends on if I get a free lunch at work. The rest of the days, I do hardcore WD, Eat my main big meal after 5pm.
Main thing is that I do not eat any meals during the AM hours.

Why not bananas? It's a low glycemic fruit.

Question (to anyone)...would it be alright to consume some V8 during undereating? I'm talking about straight V8, not the splash which is high in sugars...it is high in sodium though, which is why I ask.

my strength has gone up on the diet. i dont really count the amount of protein i have at night but if i dont think ive had enough for my body weight ill have a protein shake.

no this isnt jsut for fat loss you can live every day like this for the rest of your life.

if u want to gain weight its simple. just eat more plus your allowed to have small protein meals during the day if u want. a poster named catachol eats 3000 calories + each night.. i probably eat around the 2000 - 2300 mark. so its not just for diet.

so when you say "eat more, you're talking about the "eating peroid" at night, correct?
I guess I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the whole "digestion" and protein consumption that I've been blasted with most of my life. maybe the book wood clarify it?

well yes more at night but it also says if you want to gain weight you can eat small protein meals throughout the day. dont forget after training you can have a protein shake aswell for more protein.

personally i dont eat at all apart from the "eating period" but i would say typically i get in around 70 - 80 grams of protein at least.

with small protein meals + post workout shake + dinner + protein shake before bed you could easily get around 150 grams of protein in if u wanted to.

you must remember to eat plenty of good fats at night too because they will give u plenty of energy for the next day and keep you fuller.

if u really wanted to you could buy the book and have a read through and see if it clarifies any issues u have.

My strength is steady or up. My last deadlift workout was my best ever 405x17.

The Warrior Diet is not so much a fat loss diet as much as it is a healthy lifestyle alternative. It is not a bodybuilding diet, per se. I think weight gain on the WD would be the same as weight gain on any other diet...eat more than normal, which means you need to get creative.

i think because you only have 4 hours to eat in the day which means you wont eat heaps and heaps that you really need to step up your food choice aswell so you will find you only really eat good foods.

Night (overeating) generally goes like this...

-Small salad with small portion of olive oil/vinegar dressing
-Small to medium portion steamed broccoli/cauliflower
-Eat big, generally protein first, then onto carbs.

The trick to the overeating phase is to eat for pleasure, eat what you want (mostly healthy), and don't eat it like a bodybuilding meal. Eat big!

I was consuming a V8 during undereating for a while. Nothing wrong with it. The Warrior Diet recommends freshly squeezed/processed juice, but not many of us can take a juicer to work/class during the day.

But honestly, for overall health purposes, I have moved away from V8 and started eating 1-2 fresh tomatoes, 6-8 baby carrots, several strawberries, and a handful of blueberries.

Bananas are ok, but they are higher in carbs. You are trying to avoid carb dense foods during the undereating stage.

thank you nathan. I've always been quite the lover of healthy fats. i run WAY better off of them (olive oil, almonds, fish oil etc). maybe for my next attempt at abs I'll look into this. i had AMAZING results with the anabolic diet, so i might try this one out.

I count calories but I have a hard time eating over 1,800 at night. My total calories per day is around 2100, and I have lost 20 pounds in 23 days.

I count calories because I don't want to be in too deep of a deficit while I cut. Ori states that the WD is not primarily for bodybuilders, which (I believe) simply means that it is easy to lose muscle if you undereat calories too much during the day.

More then a few guys on the WD tell me they have a hard time eating enough at night, and that 1200 calories is about their limit.

If you think you are taking in less then 1500 calories per day, and retaining muscle is your goal, I would start counting.

This is a question about the book -

Is the book worth reading for me? I've been doing Intermittent Fasting, well basically Warrior Diet I think? for the past couple months. I eat nothing all day until 6 PM and then eat until 10 PM or so. Is this basically the warrior diet or is there a lot of other good info?

    Thanks!

Yes, the book is worth reading for you. I'd suggest you get someone to read it for you ASAP.

after being like 3 weeks on this dieet my taste is different i knew before i started i could eat a dorito sweet chili without it paralyzing my taste, now after 3 weeks a friend at school bought a pack of doritos sweet chili i tasted one and it was like a explosion went off on my tongue it was a really aggresive taste.

This diet works great BTW lost 2kilograms in 3 weeks i went from 95kg to 93kg.
Made this week a before picture for comparing over 2 months.
