So does this anecdotal evidence indicate that the desire/drive/whatever to be an Olympic lifter is correlated with a high-achieving, intelligent personality? Because that wouldn't surprise me.
Thanks guys! Wrapped with ace bandages last night and already felt much better/more steady. Will look into the rehbands.
Oh thank gawd, there's someone worse than me.

Get the original blue Rehbands, they even sell them on Amazon now. The new gray ones are straight poverty status.

gtfo of here with that MD in Broscience from Saskechawhatever University... Kornel is hyooge
lmao jk brah ily
I'm probably going to risk another alergic reaction and try the grey rehbands. I don't like feeling much bulk behind my knees when i'm in the bottom position, and im a bigger guy. I've been using ace bandages for forever but it's not enough.. Grey rehbands sound perfectLast edited by huntito; 01-03-2013 at 03:39 PM.

edit: 2nd workout
145 5x3 fast triples
power snatch 4x3 to 80kg
snatch pull 3x2 110kg
power clean 4x2 to 100kg
clean pull 3x2 140

I get a STRONG placebo effect when I wear the bandages and lift. I always wear pants and wrap my knees to keep them warm. Once I feel even the slightest pain in my knees my whole workout suffers because I get so stressed that I'll hurt them... There's virtually 0 support because I don't wear them tight, I just hate getting sore knees and I think the bandages help
Usually looks something like this:
-General stretch/warmup
-Snatch warmup > wrap wrists > snatch
-C&J warmup > wrap knees > clean & jerk
-Pulls
-Squat

Sup fellas. I'm gonna take another crack at this OLY lifting stuff. Im just getting tired of powerlifting. Tried last year and gave up because of shoulder issues from too much benching. This time I'm gonna cut out bench completely and really focus on my mobility. Might post some form videos soon for you guys to critique.

we're thinking of different bandages brah. those are PL style knee wraps, i'm talking about flimsy ACE brand bandages. But yes I agree, if you're using those types of knee wraps and not getting any more kilos out of them you're doing it wrong

Nope, pretty standard ones; 3" and they make them up to 6" I think.

Dunno why Pendlay would say that, properly wrapped ace bandages definitely add weight.
