I know that anaerobic is usually conditioned generously up to 2 minutes, and aerobic is like half the heart rate, so where does a PB mile run, that's significantly under 8 minutes stand?

Here is a cool graph showing the energy pathway used during different durations of exercise. A mile run would be a more aerobic dominant exercise.

lol.. a mile run is less than 1/3 anaerobic for me. I can see that the 2 minute sentiment that you are significantly using anaerobic system is under the condition that it is 60/40 anaerobic/aerobic.
edit: One time I brought my dog to my highschool track during summer so he could run around while I did HIIT. I walked the bends and ran the straightaways, and near the end when I was coming up on to a straightaway, he ran across the field and ran with me for just that interval.
