Well, after 1200 miles of driving I stumbled across this little nugget of joy somewhere close to San Diego (Yuma?). 2 days later and 4 repeat visits in various areas of southern Cali it feels like I've gained about 5 pounds. It wasn't until my 3rd visit that I learned about this epic secret menus with four by fours ... Animal style fries ...
Oh well ... So much for having a 6 pack when I touch down in Micronesia.

I dream of a day where I actually will get to try this place. You're probably an old pro by now, msM00b, but here's this for you or anyone else that isn't familiar with In-N-Out burger.

LOL there is absolutely no comparison.
none whatsoever.
only thing i could compare it to is five guys, except in n out patties are a bit thinner (yet half the price), buns are better at in n out, less toppings at in n out and the fries at in n out are better.
If you aren't local Google the secret menu or ask a local.
i lived .25 miles from in n out for 15 years prior to moving out to Colorado. i miss dis.Last edited by Lacrosse_Skate; 07-05-2012 at 07:47 AM.

I truly feel sorry for you "out of town" folks! Being a SoCal, I have access to several In-And-Outs. I'd be happy to mail someone a Double-Double if you're really jone-ng!! I don't have cheat meals often, but when I do, this place is MUST "Go-To"!
You won't get there just thinkin' about it, you gotta put in the work and GO AFTER IT! (... and PUT YOUR DAMN WEIGHTS BACK!!)

I would challenge this. If you ever find yourself in Nagoya Japan I suggest you find a place called layers. The Layer is their signature burger and they wrap it in this kind of sleeve so you can smush it enough to take a bite without it falling apart. I have yet to eat a better Burger. I could barely fit the single in my mouth and I didn't get it with tomatoes either.

You guys that have these places in your area are lucky.
We have only BK/McD/Wendy's and Taco Bell.
The first three are basically the same.
How does In-n-out compare to say Sonic?
I remember visiting one of those the last time I was in Florida and it blew the crap around here right outta the water. On the road to 1250

For a fast food burger chain it's f'n fantastic!
A double double and fries comes in right at 1000 calories, which you could easily be applied to IIFYM.3 year transformation: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147790393

If you were here in CA m00bie, you will kick yourself for not trying Original Tommy's, and Bob's Big Boy. Oh and Pink's hot dogs. Seriously i would be fat again if i lived in socal lol
Oh Sonic still is number 1 in my book, we have an In-N-Out about three miles away that i partake every so often but prefer the caloric dense 5 guys to that. There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Five Guys burgers well decent are wayyyy over priced. Like 8 bucks for a single with bacon and cheese. Add fries x2 and drink and over 20 plus dollars for me and the wife. I go there once a year, lol! I'd rather go to Jimmy Johns for some fantastic subs and with chips and a drink is 15 bucks and don't feel like crap afterwards....
With that said, I do miss eating burgers. I do Turkey Burgers now, well good, nothing to a good ole fashioned burger!Current Stack

I had In and Out while in Vegas in Feb. (before cut) Gotta say, I wasn't impressed. Right now, I actually don't find burger meat all that tasty. Still eat in once in a while and the best around here is Red Robin. 5 guys is pricey and salty and their fries suck. I get the Lettuce Wrap your Burger w/cheese and veggies at Red Robin 482 calories 37P 32F(ouch) 9C. Easy IIFYM without sweating it.

They are heaven indeed but sadly one of the things I need to avoid on my diet. Though I guess since I rarely get to the area in the place where I live where they are, maybe a single no cheese wouldn't hurt for a special meal after me and the kiddo go do something there.
Trying to get back to my old self PLUS improve it.
Getting back onto this train and not getting derailed again!

Hey you are right in my neighborhood! Love In-N-Out but have not been there this year. Very tasty burger for fast food. If you happen to drive North on the 15 instead of the 5 when you get to Highway 76 go left and turn right at the mobile station as if you are going to Pala Mesa Resort. At the convenience store is a small hamburger stand called Nessy Burgers. It beats In-N-Out and unfortunately you'll have to stand in a line to get one. Haven't been there this year either. No wonder I weighed 281lbs lol...
