One is overly expensive, basically useless on a proper diet, bad tasting, and really has no greater benefit as a standalone supplement.

The other one is whey protein isolate.

Whey Isolate is a fast digesting protein but it's made up of whole proteins. Much of that fat and lactose is removed.

Whey Hydrolysate is the fastest digesting protein. It's pre-digested using enzymes mostly. The strains of protein are broken down. You want them broken down in most cases into di/tripeptides because those peptides can be rapidly absorbed in the stomach. Di/Tripeptides bypass the small intestine. So when talking about whey hydrolysates or even casein hydrolysates (in this case it doesn't matter the source except for amino acid profiles) it's important to know the degree of hydrolysis.

Hydro is bull**** that companies came up with to have an excuse for a bigger pricetag. Regular whey's bioavailability (how much gets taken up by your body) is already close to 99%. Hydrolysing it isn't even necessary.
I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout.

It's not BS. It's about transit time. Speed of proteins is a factor during the Anabolic Window i.e. training timeframe. Otherwise a blended protein is better for slower absorption. Hydrowhey is a novel ingredient, however, taking it during the right timeframe is important or it is a waste of money.

Also, it has nothing to do with bioavailability. For arguments sake that remains the same.

Drinking a blend of some hydro whey and carbs like in Size-On V2 can have its benefits intra-workout, but IMO otherwise it's just a higher price. Besides, I'm fairly certain a greater percentage of hydrolyzed whey gets oxidized upon digestion as opposed to WPI or WPC.
