lol for real though. IMO the most asthetically pleasing and best looking of really big dogs. on average the back will come up atleast to the seam of your pants at around 32'' or so. im sure there are some runts, as well as some giants. preferably id like to have me a giant. just baller

For one, there's a reason every military/police force pretty much utilizes German Shepherds and why no one uses Caucasian Shepherds.

They're powerful dogs with massive strength but they're too heavy and wouldn't put up the same fight a dog like a GSD or Pitbull would.

however...
they have a bad temperament....
check out Sarplaninac.. pretty much the same dog just a little larger, biggest one i've seen when I was in Macedonia was 100cm long and 100kg lol was an animal..
basically these dogs are flock protectors.. if you get one they will adopt your family as their family and basically if anyone lays a finger on your family member infront of them they will tear their heart out.. (srs) have seen someone try to steal from a front yard whilst this dog was protecting.. ****ing do not want to remember.. extremely graphic
but they are rare these days, not sure about breeders in canada/america but I know a direct importer from Macedonia/Serbia here thats from victoria wants 7grand for a pup..
pretty much the only dog I'd ever get.

this is complete bull****, the ovcharka would overpower a pitbull/gsd in half a minute
They can kill bears and your sitting here telling me they can't kill a pitbull.. I lol'd irl... you clearly have not seen this breed irl.. they have 3 coats of inch deep fur that can barely be bitten through..

Police do not use them because the ovcharka/sharplaninac have the temperament of a leader/master therefore they cannot be tamed like a German Shepherd can
that is the reason they are not utilized.. countries have done it before though.. i.e. Russia.. they stopped due to the high amount of injuries/deaths inflicted onto criminals/civilians.
You probably have a pitbull/gsd and therefore are biased towards your dog, so I can understand where your coming from..

but really if your dog was in a fight with a dog of this kind.....
