    How to increase my BMI.

    Hello guys. I have this question. How can I increase my bmi? I am cutting right now at 2000 on off days and 2300 on workout days but it seems to low for a guy with my stats. Plus I barely lose any fat. I've never crash dieted so I don't think I have damaged my metabolism. At 2300 calories I am fine, I don't feel hungry. So i might have a slow metabolism. My mother also has hypothyroidism, I might have inherited?

    Anyways, I say a video of layne norton (one of the metabolic damage ones) where he said that you can keep increasing your carbs by 4-5g and fats 1-2g each week and your body absorbs it without gaining fat. Would this work for me or is it for people with damaged metabolisms? Is there anything else I could do?

    Just eat more calories than you burn and you'll increase your weight, which means your BMI will increase.

    I think you're over complicating things. Just change calorie intake until you are gaining/losing at your desired rate.

    If you are concerned that you may hypothyroidism you should talk to a doctor.

    And this is of course assuming you meant to type BMR.

    Well I don't think you understood what I meant. I want to be able to maintain at more calories without having to gain weight. Ofc I'll bulk but I want to know if there is any method to increase what your body burns without having to gain weight.

    Increasing TDEE by moving more or increasing the amount of muscle you have by bulking ....

    Or you can always eat 100 calories more for a few weeks and eventually you'll adapt.

    bmi= body mass index
    BMI is calculated from your height and weight. The more you weigh, the higher your BMI.

    You're talking about BMR and TDEE. Like everyone else is saying, to increase what your body burns without gaining weight, you need to increase your activity. To increase your basal metabolic rate, you need to gain lean body mass.

    I assume you mean BMR not BMI
    to increase BMR you need to gain more weight, preferably in the form of muscle mass

    Yes I meant my BRM, i'm sorry. So if there are 2 people both at 6 feet 180 pounds, same daily activities, once maintains at 2500 and the other at 2800. What factors play role in this?

    BRM? Not a good time for a typo.

    In answer to your question, bf%/LBM%, metabolic rate.
