Will fruits and vegetables speed up weightloss

Weightless has become harder over the years. I'm trying to get to at least 15% body fat by summer. I'm at about 25 now. Will eating fruit help me? My maintence is about 2400 cals eating around 1700-1800. I assume weight loss stopped because of a plateuo but idk. Any insight?

Fruits and vegetables are calories. Eat less calories and you'll lose weight. Whether this is includes fruits and vegetables is totally up to you, but don't think that switching to 3000 calories of apples a day is going to do anything but give you cavities.

I find a lot of green veggies to be very filling for their calories, though.

It used to be that simple for me but now that I'm not losing weight I'm starting to question it

If you're not losing weight, then you're eating too much. No one food will negatively impact your weight loss. Quantity is all that matters. Energy in vs Energy out. Calories are a unit of energy.

The basic rules don't change, no matter how old you are. You were probably more active at 19 than you are now, and certainly had a greater metabolism. These factors and others may have made it easier to lose weight, but all that means is that you now have to do more work to create and maintain a deficit.

When I cut my cals to 1000 a day it worked for a week then It stopped . I read that cutting cals too low would stop weightloss

Yes, cutting too low is a bad idea. what's your height and weight now?

It may be that your bodyfat is lower than you think, and you simply don't have the lean body mass to look how you think "lean" looks. Are you weight training? At 19, you may benefit from raising your calories some and putting on some muscle.

I'm 5'11 and 225lbs. I did a bulking phase and I got some pretty good gains but I never got as lean as I wanted. I may be a little off on the body fat % but not by much. The doctor says I should be around 185lbs. I still weight train 5 times a week
