We all know excersize gives us a feeling of satisfaction when we're done, and sometimes even an endorphin rush that lasts awhile afterward. My question is, do you ever have an intense workout, then find yourself in a bad mood later in the day? I noticed this about myself when I use poundages that I would consider heavier than my normal during weight-training. This happened to me yesterday. I had a REALLY SHORT fuse all day at work afterward. I'd feel a little better after my meals, but only for half an hour or so. Anyone else?

Bad mood after intense workout?
With great sacrifice comes great rewards, always.

Why do you have to make everything biological.
I think maybe other parts of your life are affecting you. You sit for around an hour pumping at the gym in your own zone, sometimes when you leave the gym, the smallest thing can annoy you
I dont pinpoint the bad temper to the gym, but its most probably other parts of your life that you might need to deal with.

I get the same feeling. But, like another poster said, it's not that I'm in a bad mood, it's that I am more impatient and aggressive than usual. But as much as those are stigmatized as negative, they aren't necessarily bad.
My gym is really badly placed on a highway though, and if I have to wait 5 minutes to leave the parking lot after a workout, I'm about 10x more likely to get annoyed by it.

x2 and since I often have to deal with the kids right afterwards, I can get into a bad mood.
What I try to do is go for a 10-15 minute walk afterward to 'calm down' from the workout. definitely usually feel more jacked up than calm after an intense workout - I think it is the effect on the CNS, rather than the feeling of muscle tiredness.

i dont know man its just my guess, but that feeling is good bc something in you is leaving the body. Fasting would make you feel like that the whole time with spurts of superb mental clarity which eventually take over after the third day.
So if you fast you will feel that feeling the whole time until your body clears some crap away.
But losing fat does it just a little slower. Lose fat and lose whatever crap is stored in the fat.
