Did very strong PH's such as SD really build any actual muscle mass, or was the whole size gain entirely glycogen and water gains? Bc everyone would say to eat high carbs while on cycle for it to be most effective, and the gains would come so fast, like within 3 weeks! No matter the compound, you can't build muscle that fast, right?

It takes a lot of energy to build muscle. Without sufficient energy to be burned to create the muscle, its like racing a dragster on 87 octane. Sure you have the capibility to do 200+ mph, but the fuel is going to limit you.
Lots of carbs = lots of fuel. You are also going to need a lot of protein, but most people (people that are bodybuilders/ workout often) already have a high protein intake.There is no spoon.

SD is one of the strongest orals available. It does come with higher toxicity then a lot of others, but the gains are hard and mostly dry. I agree with the above post about needing higher carb levels for SD cycles, and that is because lethargy is one of the most common sides. If you are consuming a surplus of complex carbs, you will most likely see less fatigue, which means you can train harder and see more results.
Another thing to take in mind, is that during PCT a lot of people will train with less intensity and slack on diet. With gains that range from 8-20, you have to keep diet in check and train maybe even HARDER during PCT to ensure you keep most of your gains. JMOBench 355

oh I have a good understanding of what it does, i've taken a few times since it first came out, but always for bulking, and I had massive gains. Now i'm doing the keto diet and i'm curious to know if such a diet, which doesn't insist on low calories so much, would give me lean mass gains if I ran SD while on it?

superdrol clones are still out, I'm pretty sure the original has been banned for sometime now. I've never run a ph cycle, but from what I've researched most people with a good diet report gains of about 15lbs while on cycle and retain about 8-10lbs of muscle. I don't think it would be a good idea to take s-drol on a cut because of the high carb intake needed to battle one of the most common side effects while on a s-drol cycle: lethargy. Most people report getting it and these people are consuming large amounts of carbs. I can only imagine being on a low carb diet trying to get over it!

SD increases glycogen retention tremendously. When you eat a ton of carbs on SD you store them in muscle which places tension on the muscle. Tension is one of the primary stimulants of muscle growth. When you drop the SD you will lose some size from decreased glycogen retention, but there is still a long lasting benefit from maximizing glycogen retention while on cycle.

And not too mention your left with MORE MUSCLE then when you started. Superdrol is highly anabolic. People are acting like it only makes you big due to the increased glycogen retention. While that is part of it, superdrol induces pretty substantial permanent (PCT dependent) muscle gains.

Superdrol is not the strongest oral out, and people lose most of their gains bc lack of proper PCT, not knowing what to take and how to dose it. In my opinion superdrol sucks, especially with the sides. Are you looking to bulk or cut? You want wet or dry compounds? And if you have no clue what I am even talking about, do a few months research before doing anything!!!

I dont think anyone should be taking AAS/PH products without proper knowledge of the compound, (half life, androgenic/androbolic, conversion or no conversion, methyl or not, dry or wet gains, cycle time, support supps needed, etc). With most PHs I recommend getting bloodwork done before and after cycle, and monitoring blood pressure throughout. If you are aware of what you are putting into your body, train hard, eat right and sleep enough, I don't see why someone shouldn't do a cycle. Different people respond differently to different things, so I won't say, Don't use Sdrol because you're gonna lose all of your gains. That's a blanket statement. I personally know people that have continued to gain (minimal of course) during PCT after a 4 week cycle of SD. That's because they worked their asses off, and ate right.
I guess my point is whatever you're wanting to do, all that matters is that you do it right.Bench 355
