Asian Wrestlers in the WWE

Im a big advocate for Asian Wrestlers
(mostly because there arent many)


All WWE has is Gail Kim and Yoshi tatsu right now
(with Kenny Li in development)


and as far as the news has been,
WWE has been on the lookout for more asian talent

so today Id like to spotlight a few of them




Chou-Un Shiryuu

A little on the small side but more intense than Kenny Li.
He moves well and has a great chinese costume.
Has worked with DDT (New Beijing Pro)
He is from Japan
Height/Weight = Unknown





Gen Wo

Impressive for his size. Looks like a smaller Samoa Joe.
Needs to get ripped.
Has worked with ROH, CHIKARA and Dragon Gate wrestlers
Had a WWE tryout
Height/Weight = 6', 240 lbs





Ryu Lee

Has that Jimmy Yang feel. Also moves well in the ring.
Needs to gain some muscle and get ripped too.
Has worked with ROH, CHIKARA wrestlers.
(also Danny Doring and Stevie Richards)
Height/Weight = 6', 190 lbs

WWE sould just misuse and abuse them all. I miss Tajiri. They took him serious for awhile there. He was US, LW, CW, WWE tag team & the other WWE tag team belt holder). He stole the show with his flashy kicks and the green mist got him over with most the wwe fans. I guess he was special. like a japanese rvd one of a kinder

i saw a match like 2-3 years ago it was a tag match and it was 3 asien guys vs some other guys, cant remember their names but the match was awsome! think it was on ROH

That japanese wrestlers are rarely respected here in the states while american wresters are highly respected in Japan. Take for instance the stereotypes that the the japanese often portray here. They are evil, and win matches by throwing salt and spewing mist....yet you never saw Steve Williams for instance beating Kenta Kobashi (God) by spewing milkshake or literally throwing a Big Mac at him.

Batista is part filipino which was just happenstance (the guy was just jacked)
theyve also recruited a few Indians but they should get more




however this thread is more about Chinese wrestlers

because 2 things:


1. they are trying to expand to include China
2. there hasnt been a mainstream Chinese wrestler
(im not talking about 1-hit jobbers)

I have never heard anyone refering Indians as Asians. Indians are Indians. Asians, in the wide consensus are people from Japan, Korea, China and any other oriental countries. I'm sorry, you may be technically right, but I personally still view you as wrong, as would majority of people I'm sure.
