Hi guys.I need to know do my bench press will increase if i increase my push ups?I know it will but how much.Now i do 40 push ups max and bench 141lbs x10 times(it sucks )so i want to increase it.How much my bench increase( lbs ) if i could do about 70-100 push ups?

Erm. They are related to a certain extent. Like for example I can bench press 250lbs and do 65-75 pressups, or something. But when I wasnt this strong and could bench say.. 100lbs, I could not do many at all. So they are related in some ways. Note I don't train endurance what so ever
Answer to your question - yes it could help, especially if you weight the push up by putting a plate on you or something, but to increase your bench press the best thing to do would probably be to... bench press! (and tricep work )

the best way to increase your bench is to bench!
BUT
everything you do will help it! The stronger your body is, the stronger you're going to be able to push..
CHALLENGE yourself with bench.. increase the weight as much as you can.. increase the reps everytime you can.. Grab a spotter and make sure they'll PUSH you too.. Get them to yell at you if you need it.. anything that helps!**Never look down on someone, unless you're helping them up**

Yes , but body weight exercises are not enough to increase strength on other exercises.
Unless you get someone to stack plates on your back while your doing push ups, its not worth the time unless you are warming up before your workout with pushups.
If you are stacking plates on your back when doing push ups, you best bet is to just do bench.

They definately will, but you wont notice it until you actually do alot. I was doing 200 pushups a night for 3 weeks, and my bench increased without lifting. It was slight but the answer is yes. Weighted pushups are even better, dips are king

Type I muscle fibres use glycolosis for energy and contract alot faster and are alot more powerful, and Type II muscle fibres use respiration for energy, contract alot slower, are weaker, but will last longer.
Chest - 46"

Don't waste your time doing pushups
Obviously if u want to increase you bench press then lower the reps increase the sets(5x5)
*Now that you only need to do 5 reps per set, you can increase the weight maybe 5-10lbs
Give yourself like 2 minutes between sets since your training for strength
Then after your done with bench in your workout, do weighted dips (or just regular dips if your not strong enough)
Dips will work your triceps and chest mainly
Also bench uses your shoulders so do Military Presses
Standing vs seated is optional, I prefer standing because it is easier to setup in a squat rack imo
And most of all, eat carbs and protein after your workout
If you've done all of the above then you will see a 5-10lb increase every week guranteedHave a good day, fellow miscer.
