Yeah, I get dehydrated bad too sometimes during the night but I usually have some Xtend by the bedside already mixed so if I wake up it's never really been an issue taking a glass or 2 worth straight from the bottle...

I've always found that if your mouth is really dry, its because your mouth was open during the night a lot. You could have sinus issues which your body requires you to open your mouth to breathe more easily.

^ That and you could also check the humidity levels in the room. Wife and I recently put a humidifier in our room and it seems to help. My issue was more sinus/nasal/etc but it could help you.

Do you workout at night? Do you spread your 2 gallons throughout the day, or do you drink most of it during a workout?
If you threaten people with a neg, you need to get out more... it's only an online forum lol.

Hows pollen levels there where you live? Its high here, so many people are suffering from seasonal allergies. I didn't develop season allergies until I was in my 20's, so its possible. I just checked the weather. It seems like pollen could be high.

Im' gonna hop on the bandwagon and say it may be allergy related.
I get dehydrated a bit by morning. Usually piss a ton around 3 am and grab a few sips of water then.
Then drink a glass of water before breakfast.

    But nothing like you're experiencing.

Well there goes one of my theories lol. Drink a gatorade to bring your electrolytes up. Like sidesteal said, it could also be the humidity levels. I just got a humidifier myself after having dry mouth/throat problems.

I edited my post. You can develop seasonal allergies in your 20's. I did. Its very normal to go from not having them your whole life to developing them in your 20's.

I'm not saying that is your issue for sure, but usually my mouth only gets really dry when I get sinus issues (allergy or cold related). Mouth open at night = painfully dry mouth.

Did you do a humidity check of your room? If below 35%, it's going to dry things out. Get a portable humidifier beside your bed if that's the case.

Also, you must sleep at times with your mouth open. If you hold a pillow in front of you as you sleep and rest it under your jaw, it can help keep it closed.

I've had issues as you described and those two thing above fixed the problem.

try cleaning your nose out, so you can easily breath through your nose, it worked for me i used to have same problem, blow your nose out before bed, and close your mouth. let me guess you either sleep on your back or your stomach.

i think you should try going to sleep with your mouth closed, it should work, make sure your nose is clean and blown out, otherwise you will end up waking up in middle of the night.

You may have a somewhat stuffed nose at night? a dry mouth and throat may be result, same with waking at night..

I use a sinus rinse bottle with saline packs just prior to bed. Cleans nose out well and I sleep better. I also use a saline mist.

When you wake see how clogged your nose is, might be a clue.

Good Luck - bad sleep f**ks me up.

I use a sinus rinse bottle with saline packs just prior to bed. Cleans nose out well and I sleep better. I also use a saline mist.

When you wake see how clogged your nose is, might be a clue.

Good Luck - bad sleep f**ks me up.
i would stay away from sinus, it can become addicting if you use it alot, iv had alot alot of sleep experience problem, i used to use sinus every night, for 2 weeks after 2 weeks i stopped but i couldnt go to sleep i was addicted so i had to slowly get away from it.

This may be an odd question, but in the last 2 weeks have you taken anything different than normal? Started any new stacks or anything? I know when I was running ec stack, my mouth was hella dry when I woke up in the middle of the night. Like desert sand dry, and I was drinking close to 2 gallons of water a day. I always kept water beside the bed in case I woke up in the middle of the night.

I used to drink very little water throughout the day until about 6 weeks ago. I would be lucky if i drank 3 glasses a day. Now I'm drinking over 8 a day and have noticed a really dry mouth and throat in the morning. I wonder if you're drinking too much water throughout the day and since you can't drink during sleep your body is becoming dehydrated? Perhaps this doesn't make since but I think if you're body is use to passing so much water throughout the day and then not getting anything for 8 hours, might shock it?

Lay off the diuretics after 3-4 pm. Anyone drinking 8 liters of water a day should not be suffering from a dry mouth just due to low humidity.
There is clearly a contributing factor here, and my bets are a diuretic or stimulant your taking.

Could try eating a bit more salt or a gatorade if you really think it's dehydration.
