LOL. I can certainly understand how it can paralyze an entire area.
When I was a kid, my family moved to Houston, Texas for a year. That winter, we got about an inch of snow one day. The locals said it hadn't snowed there in 25 years, and no one knew how to drive in it/deal with it. The city shut down for half a day until that massive snowfall melted!
Welcome aboard.
I'm fortunate to have a lot of very knowledgeable posters ITT, and we all help keep each other motivated and accountable.
Thanks, Tiffany; I appreciate the comments.
I'm on the edge with RDLs but still feel like I can get them up to 405x3 over time. It's going to take a while though; that single required every fiber of my being to complete!
Happy New Year to you too.No brain, no gain.

There's a group of us here who get it. And it's not like anything that can be found IRL, unfortunately. But then, that's the nature of bodybuilding; it's just too extreme for civilians to grasp why we do what we do.
Not trying to put myself above anyone or be an elitist, but any time I train in a commercial gym, since I do it so rarely these days, I get jolted when I realize how unlike I am to just about everyone else in there who's shuffling around aimlessly. And I know you know what I'm saying here.
We're just 'different.' For better or worse, we're different.
Any definitve "fitness goals" for 2013, Will?No brain, no gain.

Ironwill2008 V2.0
Back to work today. I was rested, and ready to roll. today's training was:
Smith machine Front Squat
95x10 W/U
145x8
195x8
215x7
235x5
Leg Press
400x12 W/U
490x12
580x12
670x12
760x11
Chinup
bw x5 W/U
bw x5 W/U
bw +35x3 W/U
bw +70x5
bw +70x5
bw +70x3
Smith Machine Seated Press
95x10 W/U
125x3 W/U
147.5x5
147.5x5
147.5x5
147.5x5
135x8 backoff set
Worked my way through this session in 70 minutes. Smith Fronts got bumped by a dime on all work sets. I'll maintain these same loads until I'm able to rep them all at 8-across. They were work today.
Missed reps-across on LPs by just one rep; I'll get it next week. My legs are resonating, and that's always a good thing.
Chinups stayed the same as last time. My left shoulder squawked a little bit on the last work set, similar to what it did a few months ago at about this same load. I'll monitor it next week, and if there's even a twinge, I'll reduce the weight. I've been dealing with shoulder issues since the first day I ever lifted a weight, so I know by past practice to listen to what they're telling me.
Hit reps-across again on Seated Presses, so I'll micro-load a couple of pounds on them next week. The backoff set dropped a rep, but I don't see that as a problem.
Overall, a good session; some progress was made, and I know where more work needs to be done. I'll take a rest day tomorrow, then work on Lunges, Rows, and Inclines on Wednesday.
Post-Workout meal was eggs with picante sauce, a couple strips of bacon, some toast, grits with butter, and a glass of milk.
No brain, no gain.

Thanks, Jim. I had a good one yesterday; the Fronts really work my quads, and backing them up with LPs works the entire thigh.
Happy New Year to you too.
Thanks, Steve. Happy New Year right back at ya.

Thanks, Bruce. I had a good session and am expecting another tomorrow.
I started posting the meal pics in an effort to demonstrate that I do what I advise others to do--to rely on regular food first, and supplements as a ....supplement, if required, to help meet macro needs.

It can sometimes be difficult to meet protein needs from regular meals alone, not only from a quantity standpoint, but the convenience factor enters in too. We just have to balance that with the knowledge that there are other components in tissue protein sources that we can't obtain from powders. Again, it comes down to using supplements as an adjunct to an already-good, regular-food nutrition plan.

Ironwill2008 V2.0
A good, solid session today. A lot of "the sames," but I'll take 'em considering I worked as hard as I was able. Today's training was:
Barbell Lunge
bar x5 W/U
bar x5 W/U
95x3
135x3
185x3
225x3
295x1
295x1 Barbell Lunge
225x3 backoff set
225x3 backoff set
Barbell Row
bar x10 W/U
135x5
185x5
205x5
225x5
225x5 Row
250x4
Smith Machine Low Incline Press
95x10 W/U
135x5
155x5
175x5
205x5
230x5 barely
185x8 backoff set
Completed this session in 65 minutes. My hams were a bit tight today, and it was cold in the gym, so I never really felt like I got really loose. I managed a single on the top set again, but felt like this wasn't the time to try for a 2nd rep. I'll be back at it next week.
Managed 4 reps on the top set of Rows @ 250, but didn't get a pic of that set. I seem to be see-sawing back and forth from 4 to 5 reps on these; more work is needed.
Inclines went well; I hit reps-across again, but still feel like it's not time to add more weight. I'll see how these go next week, and then decide what to do.
That's all I have for today. Overall, a good session. I'll rest tomorrow, then hit Romanian Deadlifts, Curls, and Flat Presses on Friday.
Post meal was 1/4 pound of ground sirloin off the grill, a huge baked sweet potato with butter, a very fresh salad, a small fruit cup, and a glass of cold milk.
No brain, no gain.

Never mind those weights staying the same, at least they're not going down, you'll beat them in no time.

Thanks, Andy. And I agree; there are times when just meeting previous numbers is a very good thing. Yesterday was one of those times for me.
Happy New Year to you too.
A fresh start, Jim. Fifty two weeks of opportunitites to improve.
Thanks, FIM; I had a good day yesterday, and am already looking forward to keeping it moving tomorrow.
Happy New Year to you too.
Thanks, Bruce. The workout, and the meal, were good!
I've always liked the challenge that Lunges present. I have to really measure my effort though, since I don't have any way to spot myself. No brain, no gain.
