Tips on how not to cough when smoking

Me and some mates are gonna be smoking a few tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do the same old same old where I take a pull and start coughing. How can I smoke properly and avoid this? Just any basic 'tips' or advice on smoking properly, since I'd rather not cough and get high, then hack and heave like a bitch and be sober at the end of it. Cheers

you just have to fight the urge to cough as much as you can. certain buds will be harsher on the lungs then others. youll eventually learn how to fight the cough. or dont smoke haha

it doesent bother me, im with my freinds, they wont think less of me because i cough when smoking, you make it sound like ill be more of a man when i dont cough

nahhh i cough all the time when i smoked. thats part of smoking. but he wanted to know how he would be able not to cough so i told him. sometimes with biggger bongs its fun to see if you cant cough...sometimes that just doesnt happen.

I don't cough anymore though. Sure I still feel out of breath and my lungs hurt after a huge bong rip, but I haven't coughed in months.

-Take smaller hits like someone else said.
-Take a normal dose of DXM or a different dissociative so you will lose the feeling to cough.
-Cough anyway and not give a fck, coughing makes you higher.
