Soccer
Well, tonight was the semifinal game that we've waited a century to play. Boy was the hype unnecessary. We lost 3-1. I'm actually pretty pissed after this game, as some of the players on my team ran around looking like freaking 8 year olds learning how to play. Seriously, I can't take the high kick-with-all-your-might-but-still-miss the ball anymore or running around flailing your arms like a windmill for nothing. The field was still soaking wet - swamps everywhere...I'm freaking diving in the puddles fighting for the ball while others just stood there, really battling out with people, and others just turn from the ball and any contact. I shielded a girl off my back once -she was really riding me so I gave her sharp elbow, to which she says "you better watch it little one." bahahahaha - I lol'd at her and told her to keep her super sized body off me. (She wasn't fat but really tall and just a very sturdy girl). I'd say about half of us gave a strong effort tonight - I guess that's why I'm pissed. On top of all that, our sweeper got hurt. She was complaining before the game that she felt like she tweeked her knee a bit in her coed game...She goes in hard for a tackle and didn't come back up. Her knee immediately swelled, and she could not bare any weight on it at all. We had to carry her off the field. She's a tough girl, so I'm afraid it's something serious.
There are two good things that come out of this - back to the gym full time. And one of them asked me to play on her indoor team.
Overall I really like my team and think we play really well together. I'm really happy I got to play with them. I'm just pissy right not because I hate losing lol. I just wish we could have lost with a better effort. I will look forward to the spring season with them though.
/recap and rant

I know this pain too. We have a few players that have absolutely no hussle and oddly enough these are the few that like to criticize the way the rest of us are playing.

Ohhhhh that's so easy to say now! That wasn't her first dig at me/my size during the season though either. My mom taught me "don't dish it out if you can't take it." It was all good - we shook hands after the game and everything, so it wasn't anything personal, just heat of the moment/competition.

You shook hands?
What about H1N1??
(None of the soccer teams here shake hands anymore. They stand in a line, stare at each other and clap. )

It's not the Canadians, it's the officials.
Judging from Harry's and Jenni's journal, I think it's safe to say moronic officials are found in all parts of North America.

Well today I got back to the gym woohoo! I've been inconsistent in the gym the past few weeks but I'm bizack! Everybody was like "who are you? you look like this girl that used to come in all the time and then disappeared." lol
So I wanted something exciting today, so I found an exercise in Nori's journal from Crossfit.
Pullups (finally brave enough to do them at the gym!!)
3x2
3 negatives
Medicine Ball Jump Squats
5 Bball Court Widths
Man Makers
5 (15 lbs)
Swiss Ball Plank Knee to Elbow
2x16
Ball Crunches
2x30
Cardio
20 mins eliptical

I did.....ok, maybe there was about a 20-30 second rest in between so that may have been a bit deceitful lol :P I was still so out of breath, it felt like a true super set. awww now i feel like i liar - workout updated lol
I wasn't using much weight today - I'm sure I'll be sore enough tomorrow. But, I probably sweated more today than I have in a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Man Makers were awesome! I've never seen anybody else do those - and I tried to go in a corner on the basketball court to get away from people, but a few people walked by and commented on how difficult it looked!

My elbow bothers me on chest and tri day as well. I think it's tendonitis. I haven't investigated this, but I have been told by multiple people that you can go to the dr. and get it worked out.
