I was thinking today's Broncos game vs. the Ravens was probably the worst and most devastating loss I had ever witnessed as a Broncos fan. Before that, it was probably the 2005 AFC Championship game vs. the Steelers.
What was the worst loss you ever saw from your team? Can be from any sport, NBA, NFL, NCAAB, etc.

Game 7 Stanley Cup Finals against the Penguins a few years back. Series should have never gone to 7 games, but Bettman let Malkin slide on what was by definition a required suspension in one of the previous games that helped Pittsburgh get it to 7. Still not too happy about it.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

Today was probably the most frustrated I've ever been watching a single game. Just didn't feel right the entire night. Don't know if it would count as the worst loss though, since it was the divisional round. I was pretty pissed when the Colts loss to the Saints in the SB. Was with a bunch of friends and I was the ONLY one rooting for the Colts since everyone in the country wanted the Saints to win that year because of the hurricane.
The toughest for me overall was when the Lakers lost to the Pistons in 04. Thought it was a guarantee, since it's a 7 game series and I didn't think the Pistons had the star power to keep up with LA. Injuries plagued the Lakers in those finals though. Not to mention, they didn't win a title for 5 years after that so that was a rough stretch.
Federer losing to Del Potro in the 2009 US open was rough also. And pretty much every time he lost to Nadal.Last edited by Amaso; 01-13-2013 at 01:04 AM.

Duke vs UCONN 2004 final four. Refs were calling stupid foul all game. Both teams were mad the whole game.
For the second time in five years, Jim Calhoun outcoached Mike Krzyzewski at the Final Four. Calhoun's decision to sit Okafor until the second half, albeit a huge gamble, paid off in the end as Duke's big men were too hampered by foul trouble to contend with Okafor in the final minutes. It wasn't a decision specific to this game, however. "The 'two-foul rule' might be 20, 25 years old with me," said Calhoun, who insisted he wouldn't have strayed from the rule unless Duke's lead reached double digits. "I have always believed that games are 40 minutes. Thirty-two years as a Division I coach teaches you that a lot of things can happen in 30 seconds." ... Calhoun raved about Duke's pressure defense, which caused a 23-8 edge in points-off-turnovers, the single biggest reason the Blue Devils kept control much of the game despite the Huskies outshooting (50 percent to 40.8 percent) and outrebounding (44-37) them. "We haven't seen defense like that since Pittsburgh," Calhoun said. ... The officiating was, to put it mildly, excessive, with 44 fouls called, many of them soft or off the ball. Three Duke players fouled out. With 7:56 left, Connecticut fans voiced their protest, chanting, "Let them play." ... As media members left the court afterward, a blue-clad fan shouted to them, "So Duke gets all the calls, huh, guys?" ... It's going to be a long offseason for Duke's Williams. In his last game of the year, he went 1-of-9 from the field, fouling out in 19 minutes

Wow....respect for that. Reps...on recharge. Damn brah. Never heard any other fan say that before
Dolphins....too many loses to count. A lot this year, we had a lot of leads going into the half (i think the arizon game we had a 20 point lead, dont quote me) but yeah. A lot this year. The Jets game earlier was devaststing because they got so lucky. Kicker was mia. And thats just this season. Oh. New england earlier in the year, it was actually close. Same with 9ers,we contested so much we good team but lost in tge endLast edited by SuperMario42; 01-13-2013 at 01:41 AM.

Probably go with the playoff loss to the Giants last year or to the Packers a few years ago. Getting destroyed in the playoffs is a terrible feeling.
I REP HELPFUL POSTS

Australian Football, the team I support lost 3 preliminary finals 3 years in a row. One included where they were winning all game, had chances to put the other team away but choked. (Equivalent to AFC or NFC championship game). Or when the Heat lost to Dallas in 2011.
Heat/Lightning/Raiders/Clev Indians/CFB
Yeah ****ing water
