That grey suit was available a bunch of years ago, but, just like the models of shoes, have become unavailable. I sold mine to another lifter at my old gym b/c he couldn't find them either. You'll probably have to try CL or ebay!!

Yeah I don't really know how to fix this, I've been trying for ages. I'm not sure whether I'm actually swinging it or whether I just make it look like that because of how far I lean back and that my lockout/shoulder flexibility means that the bar comes quite far back. I dunno... either that or I am actually swinging it.. but I don't know how to fix it :/

Try adding more weight. It may be that its too light.
When using light weight, you cant really practice that hip-drive thats so important because you can simply muscle it up with shoulder strength.
Also, really grind into you mind that you want to throw yourself back and under. If you watch some slo-mos of lifters like Dimas and alike, youll notice the bar travels up ideally and its their body that gets thrown "way way" back away from the bar and then swings under into position. Of course these guys are more explosive/agile than we will ever be, but it should help.Last edited by Conquer92; 05-05-2012 at 10:21 AM.

That's true, the 50kg looks more like swinging than with 60kg I think but I didn't wanna put on more cause I hadn't lifted for 2 weeks and I'm in the middle of exams, haven't been eating properly and no energy or sleep. Also didn't wanna risk smashing shiit up in this commercial gym bailing from a snatch :P (also I'm weak but the other excuses work better)
I think I throw myself back quite a lot, unless you mean something different to what I'm thinking when you say that? I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of leaning back/extending cause if you pause I'm bent like a banana (no homo) at full extension lol.PBs:

After watching your video again, your bar path really isnt that bad.
I would need to see a full snatch, as with hangs, i cant see where your typical starting position would be.
This is ideal trajectory (i.e., what i refer to as straight bar path - but should probably refer to it as ideal bar path because straight can be decieving)
Bar is on the floor, imagine a vertical line extending from the barbell to the sky
On the first pull, the bar is going to travel towards your body (hips), not travel in a vertical line.
On the second pull after hip drive is initiated, the bar will travel up and ever so slightly cross that initial vertical line to create its loop back around across the vertical line for the actual snatch.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #70 ▪██─────██▪

Ok guys, I start Monday. Then I can really call myself a Weightlifter.
I went by the place this morning really quick to check it out. It was kind of intimidating not gonna lie, and I'm not exactly a weak guy either. Some guys were cnj'ing like 130 or 140Snatch: 122

yeah i have faith in myself lol. My PR front is 145ish (325lbs). behind the neck push press 100kg for 3. Just need to get coached to put it all together.
Its just im so used to going to a commercial style gym, i was a little out of my element watching them. Everyones mad cool there.
And yeah, the guys were probably 94s ha.
Ill report back on Monday. Session is from 5:30-7:30AM -__-
Its funny one guy who had graduated told me if he could do one thing differently (offering advice to me) was to squat everyday since the gym is so close to you at uni lol. Go in the morning, get some sets in and carry on with your day.Snatch: 122

does anyone else go in cycles of sucking on lifts? like... i'm only good at one of the lifts for about 2-3 weeks straight while the other is ****ing terrible. then they switch after 3 weeks. i snatched 140 today and it felt so easy coming off the ground, but i just ****ing fail and spazz out, cuz my c&j's are good right now (hopefully they still are... im about to c&j)

yeah i was still decent at c&j's today. hit 170 jerk finally. i can feel it slipping though and moving back towards snatch but now ill probably snatch 145 in 2-3 weeks cuz 140 felt light coming up (just spazz out form made it hard). hehe.
