Grew up in Sault Ste. Marie. Or "the Soo" for local folk. Lived in Toronto and Peterborough as well before moving to BC at 18. Trying to decide where I want to live again after working up in Fort Mac for the last few years and the house situation is complicated to say the least LOL I own houses, just can't live in them ATM :-) Maybe that will be one of my goals for next year....
1) Find a "home"
2) Come in higher than last place at Nationals
3) Finish 2 courses towards BSc
4) Bench press at least my bodyweight and improve squat form
5) Grow dem little legs by at least .5"
good start to the list I thinkBeing weak is a choice. So is being strong.

Oh, nice you are really close. Is your goal to do a BW 1 rep max, or to do a set of 8 of your BW. Looking at the numbers you are probably right around the corner from getting a 1RM of your BW.
Good luck finding a helpful spotter, always a pain at my gym.
Any PLers in here? I remember seeing one guy was doing 5/3/1.PreSurge = Pre WO.

I actually just did an IDFA show in Ottawa 5 weeks ago, so I now have one under my belt so that I know what to expect. I am not sure which show I am excited about, very hard decision. I am nervous about both of them, more so the provincial one as you see/hear alot more about your competition through the grapevine. I have not made a decision if I want to try figure, physique or LWB for either show. I do know that I will have to make a decision soon so that I can plan my diet as it is now 18 & 19 weeks out respectively.
IDFA show I did my own training and dieting this time around I have a registered dietician helping me plan out things so that nutritionally I do it as smartly/effeciently as possible. No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn't trying - Tony Robbins

Well your show in Ottawa must have been quite the experience, did you have some family or good friends come down?
I would assume that it can be difficult deciding which division to compete in. Good luck on that one, hopefully you have some friends you can trust with some competition experience, they may be able to suggest which division will match your body better, it can just be helpful advice for your decision. Preferably not single males who will answer you look amazing and can compete in every division.
Plus your routine, clothing and dieting will probably be drastically different between divs.PreSurge = Pre WO.

We gotz that sorted out.
Sapper and Fiend in da house once again!
When you turn 35, bb.com changes your username.
(i dunno about Sapper's though)
I've been here hanging with the oldies in the over 35 section.
Smart move.
To compete you need a team, too much stress to do it on your own.
I've done 6 shows with the IDFA but the last one left me wanting to puke the way they held it and who the judges are out here.
BB'ing Nats? As in 2012 Nat's held in Edmonton?
-if so, I was there watching.
and imo
there is no last place for the ones on stage because for every one onstage there are 2 who didn't have the ballz to finish their prep.

I pretty much keep to myself at the gym, it can be a very back stabbing, catty experience out here if you let yourself get drawn in. I have a few people to reach out to when I need to vent or something and that seems to work for me. As for the dieting this time around I am glad to have someone who can better explain why I am eating this at that time and why this is combined with that. She is Celiacs so she will know what I cannot eat having a gluten intolerance and I wont have to question or read a label to be sure

We are suppose to have a work lunch at Moxie's this week. Not looking forward to it as I hate being the one that sits there and questions everything on the menu to figure out how it is prepared and if it is a gluten free option. I am looking forward to the Swiss Chalet meal that Mom and I will be indulging on come Xmas day befpre we head out to watch Les Miserables that opens in theatres on Xmas day. Yup we are going to a movie Xmas day....I said it.

Yeah, it's not always easy. Thankfully I seem to be spending a lot of time with someone who doesn't even blink when it takes me 5 minutes to get my order across.
.... And if it makes you feel any better I work Christmas Eve until 1030.. And will most likely be working Christmas Day too. Can't waitSeriously?! I have a blog?!

I work until 830pm on the Eve, my choice. I would have worked Xmas day but real job is not open and gym hours are already covered. I will probably get a workout in on Xmas Day though. Boxing day I open the gym at 5:15am....no rest for me
I did not think you were still eating gluten free with your cupcake and cookie pics?No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn't trying - Tony Robbins
